Climate change extreme cold hit the wine industry in the B.C. Okanagan Valley last winter. It essentially killed most of the red grapes in the valley. How do we make the winery and other agricultural producers more resilient to extreme climate? Innovation adoption is key in this industry to drive climate smart agriculture and create value adding industries that help foster new technology investments and sustainable jobs. I will be attending International Forum on Biotechnology and Bioeconomy in Bologna Italy Oct 3-4th and participate in a panel discussion with Italian and European colleagues on the importance value chains from Agriculture to Industries.

Join us to learn more about the importance of technologies for a successful transition in agriculture!
Data is key to shaping decisions that increase food production, farm incomes, and climate resilience. For farmers, the right data is an essential foundation for efficient, productive, and profitable operations. And now, it is becoming much easier for farmers to benefit from the data they produce. I’m looking forward to hearing our #EMEA #carbonfarming and digital solutions science manager, Kiera Holland, joining Innovation Forum’s webinar on how data and technology can drive carbon farming and resilience at farm-level. Please to see that Valeria Forlin, Policy Officer for DG Climate at the European Commission, as well as Juan Palomares, Managing Director for Trinity AgTech, will be joining the conversation to assess how the policy sector as well as agribusinesses can leverage data to support carbon sequestration efforts, reduce emissions, protect nature, and build supply chain resilience across Europe. Sign up below and tune in on June 20th from 3:00 to 4:00 CEST! https://lnkd.in/eC4h8dJw #DataDrivenFarming #RegenerativeAgriculture #FoodSystems #TeamBayer
