I started working in EU projects in 2009. FP7 and CIP-ICT-PSP Programmes. I must admit I've seen a lot. Many partners, projects, proposals (hundreds). Ever since in my role supporting organisations, I've experienced the same. Justifying EU projects is not hard but it is tedious. And it needs expert knowledge. Many service companies, provide support to organisations for these tedious tasks, but yet, what we see is that the job is transferred "from the researcher to another party". A couple of years ago, we decided to build a product to support organisations in financial and administrative management with an online solution. Reducing the workload, being significantly more efficient and helping the use of tax-payers money goes to research and not so much on paperwork were the ideas that crossed our minds. And it seems it works 😁 While kronis is not yet perfect, we see it saves time and money in a constant basis to all our users all over Europe. So as a natural step in this evergrowing path, we need a CTO to drive our tech. Check description below 👇

Building a platform is a significant investment for any firm. Treating platform development as a one-and-done project jeopardises that investment. Without continuous evolution of a platform to meet emerging business needs, the value it delivers to the business reduces, making platforms increasingly irrelevant. Platforms need to be treated as products, with long lived teams maintaining and evolving them. The question often asked is, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨-𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 ? Platform capabilities generally represent common shared functionality across portfolios of customer journeys and business value stream. Analysing these portfolios for the common shared functionality makes it possible to forecast platform investments needed to build and adapt these capabilities. This should also indicate the size of the team needed to maintain the platform as a product.
