Why Expertise Isn’t Always Enough Even the most experienced professionals can make mistakes, especially when tasks are complex and repetitive. Legendary rock band Van Halen famously included a clause in their contracts requiring all brown M&Ms removed from their backstage bowl. While it sounds like nothing more than a quirky demand, it was a canary in the coal mine. Van Halen was a pioneer in the scale of their productions, so their contracts were very complex to make sure all the requirements were met. If every letter of the contract weren’t followed, disastrous, and even life-threatening errors, like stage or floor collapse, could result. If the brown M&M were still present, this alerted the band to the fact that their contract had not been carefully read and followed and that it could be unsafe to continue with the show. This story, detailed in Atul Gawande’s Checklist Manifesto, is a striking example of how simple tools can prevent failures even in the most complex environments. This theme - one of failure prevention - recurs throughout Gawande’s book, and it’s a lesson that resonates strongly with us at Metquay Inc. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality and reliability to the world of calibration management software, so checklists are central to our way of doing business. Under control or be controlled What does under control looklikes? Everythings must be in control area, they must (just) follow the rules that have been given to behave. or Everyones behave as what they suppose to behave, and sinergyes each othersto achieve the goal of all (organization & personal). #rdy

11 years....kahani abhi 'bahut' baaki hai!! It’s not just a number—it’s the weight of lessons, sleepless nights, and relentless pursuit of something greater. Brigs Espro Services Pvt Ltd wasn't built on shortcuts. Every day, we wake up with one purpose—to outperform yesterday. To push boundaries that seem immovable and solve problems that others walk away from. Our journey is as much about expertise, as it is about resilience, failure, and the hunger to improve. We don’t just deliver solutions—we craft them, powered by an 11-year foundation of blood, sweat, and the belief that excellence is always possible. This is what we do at BRIGS—Every. Single. Day. It’s not easy. But then again, nothing worth having ever is. PS: the pic is of a 'safety experience center' that is getting installed at one of the petrochemical navratnas.
