Stop the madness! The Gazans are physically weak by now and have realistically nowhere to evacuate to. To prevent further suffering, Israel could just open its borders and let the forcibly displaced Gazan civilians evacuate to Israel. It could this way "easily" follow the gist of the UNSC and the ICJ resolutions by creating a proper humanitarian solution which nevertheless includes achieving its military goal of fully dismantling Hamas. This instead of in the end possibly evacuating people to Egypt, adding them to the millions of displaced Palestinians and their decedents outside of Palestine. Practically, it means setting-up temporary Blue Helmets/UN peace force controlled and UNHCR managed refugee camps in Israel. This way, the IDF could dismantle their "military targets" in Gaza without causing any further" collateral damage". To relocate people elsewhere in Gaza is no option any longer, there is nothing left and it is much more difficult to supply humanitarian aid to an area destroyed by war. Israel is actually a very safe zone with a high likelihood for the Gazans to be able to return home as soon as Gaza becomes inhabitable again (currently it is no longer). Gaza and the Palestinians belong to Palestine and no-one outside is waiting for another exodus. www.pax.ngo
