For all of you weekend and recitational UAV pilots please follow these guidelines, especially at parks and beaches. Thanks! For Recreational Use Registration: All drones weighing between 0.55 lbs (250 grams) and 55 lbs (25 kg) must be registered with the FAA. Registration can be done online and costs $5 for a three-year period. Flight Rules: Fly at or below 400 feet in uncontrolled (Class G) airspace. Fly within visual line-of-sight. Do not fly over people. Do not fly near other aircraft, especially near airports. Do not fly in restricted areas such as national parks or near emergency response efforts. Follow community-based safety guidelines and local laws. No Night Flying: Only fly during daylight hours or in twilight with appropriate lighting. Happy flying!
