#snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #designthinking WJ machining is a non-conventional machining process in which a high-speed jet of water is used as the tool to remove the workpiece material by erosion. In order to generate such a tool, the water is first pressurized. The principle of water jet cutting? Water Jet Machining operates on the principle of water erosion, where a high-velocity jet of water impacts the workpiece surface, resulting in material removal. A pure water jet is employed in the machining process for softer materials. water jet cutting used? Waterjets are often used for cutting soft materials like dense foams, components for car interiors and bodies, rubber, plastics, and cork. The advantages of water jet cutting? Waterjet produces a smooth uniform burr-free edge. The edge quality produced by waterjet is a function of speed, pressure, nozzle size and abrasive flow rate. In many cases waterjet eliminates the need for secondary finishing, thus creating significant time savings and improving efficiency in your workshop.
