As a junior IT technician, I recently encountered a network issue that provided a valuable learning experience. Initially, I suspected a faulty LAN port on a wall, but upon further guidance from my supervisor, I checked the connected switch and discovered a loose cable. This experience reinforced an important lesson: When troubleshooting network problems, avoid simply making assumptions about faulty components. Network infrastructure is interconnected, so it’s crucial to verify connections at multiple endpoints. #IT #Networking #Troubleshooting #ProfessionalGrowth #JuniorTechnician

Roles in tech have different job descriptions and functions. IT technician job functions differ from IT helpdesk and also different from Analyst. Depends on what your company tags the role and what you’re required to do. If you fix your CV to match a specific role and it’s scanned for a different role, it will fail.

Technician #1: Where should I mount the access control board and power supply? Technician #2: Mount them? No dude, just go up in the ceiling and toss them over so they fall down inside the wall. Talk about an access control fail! I understand that it's easy to pick apart someone else's work when we don't know the whole situation. But this? Try as I might, I can't think of a single situation that would make this acceptable. There are just too many hacks out there that don't take any pride in what they do. Fortunately, we have standards at Wayne Door. Give us a call if you want your access control project done professionally and properly. ##accesscontrol #electronicsecurity #dooraccess ##securitysolutions #keylesslock #doorhardware
