Disabilities come in many forms. People with disabilities appreciate human differences. Refrain from generalizing about disabled people. If you know one quadruple amputee, that is only one person but not all complete amputees are like that. If we are to build a community of compassion, we need to implement inclusion correctly. As it now stands, it's only a word on paper but these various systems are not implementing it. Ableism still continues despite the existence of section 504 and ADA. #Disability #TheoryofTerritorialBehavior #DisabilityInclusion

By supporting families of persons with disabilities, you’re also directly supporting persons with disabilities themselves. Dr Marlene Le Roux perfectly captures what we at IPA believe governments and other organizations must do to genuinely assist these families. Do you agree? What additional steps do you think governments could take to provide meaningful support to these families? #Disability #InclusivePracticesAfrica #family #familysupport #inclusive
