I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's some good stuff coming out of China. The Priest Dreaming of a Dragon is an all-ages BL out of China, specifically from Snap Studio which is a small operation with big dreams. PDD isn't their first original title, but it's the first one I saw that I immediately liked. In fact, I got a short preview early last year when I was looking for titles at Toptoon. Unfortunately, the title slipped through my grasp (Toptoon wasn't interested in BLs) and now it's literally EVERYWHERE. In a time where all-ages BL are scarce, this one is fun, funny, and drawn very well. It feels like early-Lezhin style art with modern coloring techniques. It's everything you want out of an all-ages BL. It launched one year ago on Tappytoon and currently has 137 k views (for reference, King's Maker only has 331 k views). It launched in August on Tapas where it has 34 k views as a non-exclusive title. It's on Webcomics, INKR, Webnovel, and Renta. Not to mention, it has an adult version as well (Tapas, Pocket Comics). I'm not surprised to see it on LezhinUS. It's produced by Snap Studio which has 2 titles publishing on LezhinUS (Love After Marriage, All Strings Attached). But why the all-ages version only? And why now?
