Bridge Africa Summit: A New African Leadership-Engage
Today’s discussions were meant to achieve engagement in different domains and aimed to benefit people from experiences in public speaking, relationships, and also technical skills such as technology and language skills.
We debuted with leadership circles, followed by Co-designing Bridge Africa, Leadership Workshop Sessions, Entrepreneurial program, African Leaders Community: Validation of action plan and next steps, and ended with Leadership circles.
The leadership workshop sessions offered accounts to the facilitators and peers to share theirs and how to use their networks to gain access to funders and influence decision-makers in different formats.
Over 150 young leaders from 25 countries around the continent were brought together to think about their needs as leaders, to develop, and form their network. The objective of today’s networking is to build up a list of abilities and needs to create strategic plans through collective intelligence that include specific activities like mentorship programs, leadership training, knowledge exchange, research, and thought leadership.
These activities resulted in developing programs whose first version will be implemented in the upcoming summits and will become the pillars of the Bridge Africa Network.

I recently had the privilege to speak as the Country Director for Nigeria at Premium Swiss Hospitality GmbH - Zurich during the SUCCESS IN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE & AWARD at Festival Hotel Lagos. In my talk, I emphasized the importance of a mindset shift, starting with identifying your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Your USP could be rooted in your brand name, location, history, offerings, or other key components such as:
- Benefits
- Emotive appeal
- Key selling points
- Differentiators
- Competitive advantage
Examples of USPs that can make a hotel stand out include offering personalized guest experiences, having a unique historical or cultural connection to the location as seen in case of Festival Hotel Lagos, eco-friendly practices, or exclusive amenities like a rooftop pool with panoramic views.
I encourage all hotels to discover and leverage their unique strengths in this highly competitive market. As the demand for room nights in Nigeria continues to grow, positioning yourself as a premium brand—both in identity and service—is crucial to commanding premium rates.
Additionally, creating partnership alliances with established brands like Premium Swiss Hospitality GmbH - Zurich can help elevate your hotel to internationally accepted standards.

Just returned from an incredible youth leadership training in Zambia where we explored what it means to raise a generation of leaders after God's own heart. We had a deep dive into life-purpose discovery, developing missions and visions that can transform both the church and society. It was powerful to witness young leaders align their hearts and actions for lasting impact!
We also cast the Charis Global Agenda 2033—a call for every one of us to engage in transformation by contributing our gifts and capacities. Leadership isn't just about titles, it's about building like saints with a heart for service and change.
Together, we can shape the future of Africa and beyond. What will your part be in this global movement?
