T Levels are new courses which follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A levels. These 2-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and education providers so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work, further training, or further study. They say knowledge is power. I believe in the learning process, I often find myself in the classroom teaching! Keeping up to date with changes in your sector is important to ensure the levels of service you give is high and on track. Many professional associations have CPD plans in place. (Continuous Professional Development). Learning something new enables you to give more to your clients, perhaps understand their business better allowing you to give a better service. It also keeps our minds active. What you learn is not important, so long as it aligns with your vision and values. It also doesn't have to be business based, maybe you want to take up sewing! I learn, to offer my clients a better service, to be able to understand their situations more clearly thus creating a more fulfilling experience and outcomes. 👉🏼 Having recently delivered a number of our ‘Discover the Power of IEP Learning’ over the past few weeks, the #IEPLearningAcademy has been able to meet so many more of the #IEP members. As part of these sessions, Helen Lee FIEP, Head of the IEP Learning Academy has been able to speak about the Academy's unique and innovative approach to learning delivery, by creating effective and engaging performance-focused, sector-specific skills training. Identifying Teacher Profiles as important as Learner Profiles! One of the first steps for students to become #IB world citizens is identifying their learner profiles. Despite having only ten attributes, the IBlearner profiles are incredibly inclusive, covering a wide spectrum of characteristics that nearly everyone finds a fit. Although IB refers to these as "learner profiles", as a teacher I believe that it is crucial for teachers to identify their profiles through careful self-analysis. This allows them to leverage their strengths when planning lessons, ensuring they create activities that meet learners' needs while showcasing their abilities. By doing so, teachers can create a communicative and constructive learning environment for their students. A successful classroom and learning environment is co-constructed through the participation of both teachers and students. When both parties understand themselves, their interests, and areas for improvement, they can achieve greater success together. #IB #PYP #learnerprofile #PYPschools #classrooms
