🍷🎶 How Background Music Influences Wine Tasting 🎶🍷 Did you know that the music playing in the background can alter your perception of wine flavors? Research by Dr. Adrian North at Heriot Watt University—Edinburgh uncovered how different music styles can influence the taste of wine: Heavy Music: Enhances the perception of wines as more robust and intense. Subtle & Refined Tunes: Makes wines feel more delicate and sophisticated. Zingy & Refreshing Beats: Brings out a zestier and more vibrant character in wines. Mellow & Soft Sounds: Tends to make wines taste smoother and gentler. This effect is notably stronger for red wines than for whites. #WhyWine? Jason Lede, general manager at Cliff Lede Vineyards, thinks wine is a lot like music. "Just like music, you can share it, you can use it to revisit moments, you can use it to create moments... so wine truly is one of the greatest things that helps enhance that life experience." Have you shared your #whywine story yet? Learn more about The "Why Wine?" Project at napavalley.wine/why-wine!

Check out Neill's review of our two new releases below!
There’s a lot about Turntable Spirits that I find appealing. First, I like that they connect whisky and music because I’ve tried to explore this in my Ceòl agus Craic tastings with the Islay Whisky Academy. However, I also like that they champion blended whiskies – I’ve often written about the role blends can play in the ever-changing Scotch whisky market. In my opinion, there’s no better pairing than whisky and music. They both have the power to tap into our innermost emotions and trigger powerful memories. When the two are combined, they can create a moment of enjoyment that almost reaches spiritual levels. Gordon and Ally Stevenson of Turntable Spirits have a similar passion for music and indulge their interest by giving their blended whiskies music-themed names, often inspired by classic songs. Recently, I attended Turntable’s first birthday shindig in Glasgow, an event that coincided with the release of two new whiskies. The first, One Way or Another, is a grain-focused offering, whilst the second, Harder Better Faster Stronger, showcases bolder malt components. Full tasting notes, as well as my opinions on each dram, are below. https://lnkd.in/enYrb8Tn

Sharing a video that captures a moment that matters to me and is very very special. Recently I got the opportunity to visit the home of Patron, in Jalisco, Hacienda, Mexico. Having been to many Malts distilleries, this experience was quite different. The food , the culture, Music, the hospitality and ofcourse my favourite Patron Tequila everything was unique. There are many fun facts that I learned during my journey but I am not sure if you know - 1. Did you know that it can take upto 8 years for an Agave Plant to grow before it is plucked for making Tequila? 2. Did you know that Patron is made with 100% Weber Blue Agave? 3. Did you know that it takes 60 Hands to make a bottle of Patron? 4. Did you know that Patron uses traditional methods to make Tequila? Probably Not. If you already did then answer the question below - What's the name of the special mill that is used for making Patron and what is it made of ? Bacardi #Patron is Made by the hands and crafted with passion.

Our Fall program calendar is filled with culinary wine dinners, and live music events, all tied to the release of Barbara’s latest slate of gorgeous new Siboney Reds for the season. It’s also a time to expand another idea that holds our interest. When we opened Siboney Cellars, we thought it was appropriate to showcase our authentic interest in cigars, given our cultural heritage, the parallels with agriculturally-driven products, and our hill country location. We are so pleased with the response, we have obtained additional levels of licensing and permitting required by law to expand the idea. This November marks the 7th release for the Cigar Club at Siboney Cellars. This is our “club within the club”, serving the wine lover and cigar aficionado. And those among us who are cigar-curious. This is a great reason to spoil and host them more often, from a uniquely compelling position. We also love collaborating with high quality, story-driven brands like Micallef, Karen Berger, and now Illusione. We already tap the limitless culinary linkages to wine, and will never abandon those. But this pairing hits a different level of engagement, and the authenticity of our service is key to its reception. With a nod toward the no-alcohol audience, I have yet to find a better non-alcoholic pairing for a cigar than Cuban Coffee Cafecito. So we have that in hand as well. Experience-driven product development and engagement…. It’s personally gratifying to savor the creative process of the work. Lessons from the old Nextel days are never obsolete — First. Different. Better.

🎶🍷 Sensory Immersion: The Interplay of Wine, Music, and Consumer Experience🍷🎶 As a passionate advocate for sensory science, I’m continually fascinated by how our experiences as consumers are shaped by the interplay of various sensory cues. Recently, I explored the compelling relationship between wine tasting and music, delving into research that highlights the profound impact of sensory immersion on our enjoyment and perception. Studies indicate that music not only influences our emotional state but also alters our taste experiences. The right soundtrack can enhance the flavors of a wine, transforming a simple tasting into a captivating sensory journey. Imagine enjoying a full-bodied Merlot while listening to a lively jazz tune—the fusion of taste and sound creates a rich tapestry that heightens our appreciation and connection to the moment. Moreover, the article “The Influence of Music on Wine Tasting” emphasizes how consumers are not just passive recipients of flavors; we actively engage in a sensory dialogue that enriches our overall experience. This connection encourages us to savor not only the wine but also the atmosphere we create around it. The next time you indulge in a bottle, consider the power of music as a companion to your tasting. By curating the right playlist, you might uncover new dimensions in both the wine and the auditory experience, leading to a more immersive and memorable consumption. Here’s to the art of sensory immersion and the delightful connections that enhance our enjoyment of wine and life! 🥂✨ References: 1. “The Influence of Music on Wine Tasting” 2. Plato said, "Philosophy is the highest music," highlighting how philosophy has the power to harmonize the chaos of life.🎵 In sustainability, this harmony finds a modern expression through the zero-waste philosophy - a concept that aligns closely with our approach to grape seed oil production.🍇 At Green Gold, we view every grape as part of nature’s symphony. ✨ Winemaking gives us the sweet notes of wine, but we don't let the music stop there. By embracing zero waste, we extend this harmony by turning grape pomace into valuable grape seed oil and biopellets. This way, nothing is wasted, and every part of the grape contributes to something meaningful.♻️ #GrapeSeedOil #CircularEconomy #SustainableBusiness #Sustainability
