Well, the election cycle did not go the way many people had expected it to. But don't worry. For the next few weeks, we will cover it here on #PoliticalPulse & #SalzilloReport, with a post coming out later tonight on what happened in 2024.
It may seem hard to celebrate much, which is very understandable, though I am now happy to share that subscribers who want to pay for my work (which is optional), can now do so starting tonight.
As for some election thoughts here, if Democrats want to win again, they need to work the vote not just every September through November of an election season, but every day before then, starting now.
Rebuilding the party brand in places like Ohio, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, New Hampshire, Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina is going to take more than just strolling by each state in the lead up to every Election Day.
And be on the alert for if, or maybe when, those in power will try to undermine the institutions at hand. Because it is clear now that a #CivilSociety is the last line of defense left in our American democracy.
More autopsy takes to come on 2024...
