After the resounding success of Smart India Hackathon 2023, we are thrilled to announce that IIT (BHU), Varanasi is once again gearing up to make waves in the tech world by participating in and hosting the INTERNAL HACKATHON SMART INDIA HACKATHON (SIH) - 2024! Smart India Hackathon 2024 is not just an event, it's a nationwide movement that empowers students to tackle real-world challenges and foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving. This year's themes cover a wide array of pressing issues, including Blockchain and Cybersecurity, Renewable / Sustainable Energy, Travel and Tourism, Medtech/Biotech/Healthtech, Agriculture, Foodtech and Rural Development, Robotics and Drones and many more. We're thrilled to share that we've received a whopping 235 problem statements from across the Ministries, Departments, PSUs, State Governments, and Private Industries. This demonstrates the magnitude and impact of SIH in tackling real-world issues through innovation and technology. And here's the most exciting part: We want YOU to be part of this transformative journey! Making it to the Smart India Hackathon Finals 2024 is a dream come true. From the moment I began my engineering journey, this was the goal I held close. Now that we’re here, it feels like a surreal and rewarding accomplishment. The road to this point wasn’t easy. We’ve competed in several hackathons, each one testing us in ways we couldn’t have imagined. We spent countless sleepless nights coding, brainstorming, and solving problem after problem. There were moments when failure seemed constant and doubts weighed heavily on us, but each challenge made us stronger, more determined, and more knowledgeable. This experience has taught me much more than how to compete—it’s been a lesson in resilience, patience, and persistence. To now stand at this stage and see the dream come true is an unforgettable feeling. I’m incredibly proud to be part of this journey with my amazing teammates—Sabhya Lokhande, Aakanksha Patel, Jayditya Patel, Priyansh Arora, Shubham Nikumbh, and myself.
