"October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and while significant strides have been made globally, it's important to acknowledge the gaps in awareness and access to care that still exist locally, especially in Benue State. Many women in our communities remain unaware of the importance of early detection, regular screenings, and the availability of life-saving treatments. This lack of information, coupled with limited healthcare infrastructure, puts lives at risk. We need more community-based outreach, educational campaigns, and resources to bridge these gaps. Together, we can work towards ensuring that every woman, no matter where she lives, has access to the knowledge and care needed to fight breast cancer. Let’s spread the word, raise awareness, and save lives. #BreastCancerAwareness #BenueStateNigeria #EarlyDetectionSavesLives" #MWAN #CloseTheCareGap #UICC #MWIA

A recent study underscores something deeply impactful: for women with aggressive HR-negative, HER2-positive breast cancer, Medicaid expansion has made a real difference. In states that expanded Medicaid, the biggest impact was seen in women with Stage III breast cancer where 2-year survival was increased by 3.81%, these patients were 2.43% more likely to start treatment within 60 days of diagnosis, boosting survival rates by over 1%. This data isn’t just about numbers; it’s about the lives touched when barriers to care are lifted. Expanding access means bringing hope to every patient, regardless of background. Here’s to pushing forward so that timely, life-saving treatments reach everyone who needs them. https://lnkd.in/ggyP7BYx MedPage Today #BreastCancerResearch #HealthEquity #AccessToCare #PhoenixMD #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

Did you know, that every year, the 31 days of October are used to #create_awareness on #breast_cancer? Some #studies have shown that a lot of the women who are #diagnosed with breast cancer in Ghana are always in the #advanced stages. Those who are lucky may loose a breast and stay alive, in the worst cases, they lose their lives. Unfortunately, not all are privileged to have access to #healthcare services, talkless of breast screenings. Early detection of #breast_cancer helps save lives. And the easiest way to help is by raising awareness and providing avenues for #less_privileged_women to have access to screening services. #breastcancer #breastcancerawareness #pinkoctober #earlydetection #saveaboob #beatbreastcancer

Did you know that every two minutes, a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer? Each year, approximately 2.3 million people worldwide are diagnosed with breast cancer. This makes it the most common cancer among women globally. In the United States alone, about 264,000 women and 2,400 men are diagnosed annually. Over the past two decades, significant advancements in early detection and treatment have dramatically improved survival rates largely due to better screening practices, more effective treatments, and increased awareness. This October, let's amplify the message of Breast Cancer Awareness Month since there is hardly anyone out there who has not been directly or indirectly affected by this disease. By promoting early detection and sharing big tech initiatives that help to prioritise regular check-ups, save lives and support the ones fighting the battle, we also contribute to the increased survival rates.
