[#IndustrySpotlight] 🚀 3-2-1, our space team is launching a new case study about cryogenic valve applications and the #polymer seals that protect this critical fluid control system. Sealing is a challenge due to the cryogenic temperatures and resulting dynamic motion. For polymer seals and most other seal types, friction usually increases due to shrinkage of materials. Why is this mission-critical? Friction control ensures that the valve actuator will operate according to the valve planned lifetime. 📢 Learn more in our case study from our expert, Kha Le - we welcome all those in the space industry to our sealing universe! https://hubs.li/Q02tKqFN0 #SpaceSolutions #Cryogenic #ExtremeEnvironment #Omniseal #Polymer #CaseStudy #SpringEnergizedSeal

Magnetic pumps The limits of solenoid pumps are well known to experts. When used in highly viscous media, the overall efficiency drops considerably. This is because the viscosity not only has a negative effect on the efficiency of the hydraulics, but also on the increased friction in the plain bearings and in the containment can and therefore on the overall efficiency of the pump. SADE has developed a good solution with the TRIBRID SYSTEM. Here the hydraulics are consistently separated from the magnetic drive by the TRIBRID SYSTEM. This eliminates the increased internal friction in the slide bearings and in the containment shell. At 250 mPa and a shaft power of 30 kW, this accounts for 15-20% of the overall efficiency. Further advantages of the TRIBRID SYSTEM are obvious. Fluids with a high solids content can be pumped without any problems and without having to think about wear in the containment shell, on the inner magnetic rotor and in the slide bearings. Because where there are no solids, there is no increased wear. To be continued.

"Inducer, enhancing efficiency and preventing cavitation" The document discusses inducers in centrifugal pumps, introduced in the 1920s to enhance efficiency and prevent cavitation. Inducers are low-pressure, axial-flow impellers placed before the main impeller. They improve suction capabilities, lower NPSHR, and prevent cavitation by accelerating inlet flow and increasing fluid velocity and pressure at the pump inlet.

Angle or swing-out? This is the problem. And we have the solution! The type of rotor used in a centrifuge is critical for achieving effective sample separation, and determining the maximum speed the equipment can reach. Angle fixed rotors can attain higher speeds for the same tube volume and are ideal for processes requiring a higher Relative Centrifugal Force (R.C.F.) or partial supernatant extraction. Swing-out rotors allow for greater flexibility and more positions per rotor, making them perfect for separations with direct tube reading, pellet formation, and complete band extraction. Before choosing a rotor for your centrifuge, it's important to consider your specific requirements and the sample characteristics. Have a look at our complete offering! ✅A cyclone separator is an economical device for removing particulate solids from a fluid system. The induced centrifugal force is tangentially imparted on the wall of the cyclone cylinder. This force, with the density difference between the fluid and solid, increases the relative settling velocity.
