Do you know why I attend networking events? ☝🏼To meet new people ✌🏼To build relationships with those I already know…like Tonya Thomas, Jessica Spawn, BreAnna Scalley, Trish Potts, Kiley Rahe, and Betty Odhiambo in the photos below. The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce hosts a Women’s Only Networking Event every month and just love everything about it because it lets me meet my two goals above. Do you attend anything like this on the regular? Tell me your favorite things about it! #thriveatwork #networking

Let's have some fun: What's the most embarrassing moment you ever experienced at a networking event? 🫢 Maria asked this in her Networking Skills Course this week and I'm dying to jump in. So... I was in Vienna for a conference. 🇦🇹 I was a panelist and as such, was invited to an exclusive dinner at a museum and then drinks at a fancy rooftop bar. I had this fancy nice dress and at some point, I excused myself to go to the ladies' room. When I went out I felt a bit observed and a girl started shouting stuff at me in German. I played dumb and thought she was probably mistaking me for someone else. Until she comes towards me, goes behind.... and pulls down my dress 😱 I wanted to run away and hide myself until the end of day. But instead, I went back to my friends, cracked a joke and carried on. From that day... I never wore a dress again to a networking event! What's an embarrassing moment you experienced at networking events? Share below and let's have a laugh together 👇 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm Lucia founder of The BD School and #BusinessDevelopmentTrainer. Grow your business through networking, here are four of my favorite rules to network and build your community. 1. Rule one: Attend networking events, host your own events, or join online communities. 2. Rule 2: Before the event, set clear intentions (Identify who will be attending, which industries they represent, who you want to meet, and what you aim to achieve. 3. Rule 3: During the event, provide value, show that you care, be the first one to offer support, and remember to ask for introductions 4. Rule 4: After the event, follow up with a call, avoid direct sales pitches, offer your support, and listen. Which one of these rules do you feel aligns best with your approach? Tell me what has worked for you thus far in the comments! And if you want to learn more, email me your questions. #felicitytchoufa #networkingrules #growyourbusiness #networking

Do you attend networking events? If so do you measure whether it’s working? Far to many people pay to attend networking groups without measuring its impact. If you don’t have a strategy and set goals to measure against how do you know whether it’s worth your time and money?

Today's Business RadioX® #protip: For Your Next Networking Event - You know how much I love networking events, so, you know, I created this business so I wouldn’t have to do a lot of that. And one of the gifts of having a Business RadioX® studio is when I go to a networking event, I don’t have to have an elevator pitch where I’m just talking about my business in that 15-second little chunk. So, what I’ve done is I traded that elevator pitch for what I like to call a value assessment conversation starter.
