I recommend these 3 things to most of my patients prior to elective surgery. Surgery can be a great option in certain situations and necessary in some circumstances (e.g. trauma, emergency procedures, cancer treatment…). Sadly, it is not always the best option and there are many unnecessary surgeries that are performed. How do you inform your patients prior to surgery?

These differences between a minor vs major surgery are highly essential during classification for Medical Records for any surgery department. The records for any minor or major surgery may be called for based on their severity or seriousness by appropriate authorities. Example: How many hip replacements during the year 2024 were performed for a particular hospital, say Hospital X? OR How many TAH cases were performed for the same year? Similarly records may also be asked regarding minor procedures or surgeries. Example: Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy under Gen. Surgery.
