We’ve onboarded our first Founding Members. Together, we’ve tested and fine-tuned the first beta stage of our Community. ⚡️We are now at the stage where we welcome more members. As a woman in business, joining our Club will provide you with a supportive community, valuable resources, and opportunities for growth. It was my first time ‼️ Yesterday, I had my first experience of having a booth at an event. When Cherita O'dell, BA, MBA offered this, I was not sure how and where to start. Like anything new, I said yes and figured it out after. I want to give special mention to Shay, founder of @financefortheculture and Nishaea Richardson, who gave me tips as fellow personal finance educators. Both are located internationally (Canada and the USA), but what I'm grateful of is the fact that whenever I have a question, both respond to my queries without hesitation. Another person I want to highlight is Keena, founder of @hellogorgeous_.246. This was my first time being styled for an event. I got so many compliments on my look, and it was because of her. For my promotional assets, I looked no further than Andrew, founder of @designcentralstudio, who created everything on display. The excitement I had when each piece was delivered made my heart leap for joy. To see a concept come to life is everything. . Foe my glam team, who did my hair and nails at short notice because that week was just stretched because of work. Thank you for facilitating me. Hair: @beyondthechair246. Nails: @beautifulvisionsbb When I committed to doing the booth, Cheri-Ann Walcott jumped on board immediately and asked how she could serve me on the day. She is the definition of true sisterhood. Moreover, I want to thank @barbadostrustfundltd for collaborating with me at the event. Last but by no means least, I want to raise a glass to Cherita because none of the above would have happened without you extending your hand out to me. You are truly a blessing, and my first experience at The Climb, the motivational event for entrepreneurs, will be an experience I will never forget. We often share our WOW Team members’ successes because we are all about championing the work and effort that goes into creating your own business, BUT 5 whole years running our small business peer group is a BIG deal, and so I’m sharing our birthday, because both Clair Wright and myself need to be proud of what we have achieved over the years and celebrate too. It’s not always been easy, but thankfully we are resilient! We got through covid, and cancer, to keep supporting small businesses to grow and feel supported in their endeavours! What started as a seed of an idea back in 2019, has grown into what it is today: ⭐️Running two accountability peer groups, one in Kirkburton at Joys Coffee House and one in Unity Yard, Holmfirth ⭐️Plus an online group too ⭐️Specialist business sessions run every month ⭐️Inbetween What’s App and Facebook support and inspiration and Monthly newsletter ⭐️Opportunities to collaborate with other members and try out ideas / sessions in the team ⭐️Discounts on WOW Retreats and Craft Market opportunities So why are we still so passionate about it? Because we care deeply about our members and their businesses. Our driver is impact, making a difference to people’s confidence and supporting them through growing their business - the highs and the lows, with plenty of ideas, advice and mentorship along the way. That is why we are still here. We are not a networking group, although that happens naturally, we are different, we support the person holistically, because we are our businesses. As we celebrate National Small Business Week, I've been reminded of how grateful entrepreneurs are for their staff that keep their dreams alive.
