As a resident doctor in India's teaching hospitals, the nights have been some of the most challenging and unsettling times of my life. The once-bustling corridors grow dark and empty, and the stairways feel increasingly unsafe. Patient attendants, emboldened by the late hours, become more demanding, more aggressive. And we, the health care workers, are left navigating a system that seems to be falling apart around us. The strain is overwhelming. I've pushed through 36-hour shifts without a place to rest, too exhausted to even consider using restrooms that are either filthy or simply nonexistent. We dedicate ourselves to caring for our patients with every ounce of energy we have, but deep down, there’s a haunting question—who is there to care for us? "This Independence Day, I hope for a profound transformation in the minds, bodies, and souls of every citizen in India. My thoughts are with the family of the deceased doctor, and I pray that justice is served." #HealthcareHeroes #MedicalProfessionals #HealthcareInIndia #ResidentDoctors #SupportDoctors #JusticeForDoctors #IndependenceDay #HealthcareReform #DoctorsLife #MentalHealthInMedicine

I had the most wonderful evening with the TiE Hyderabad Charter members last night. Hosted by Jayesh Sanghvi, under the leadership of Srini C., and with the constant support of Manoj Kapoor, I had the opportunity of spending time with the local leadership to dive into the topic which I love, “How to Live Healthier For Longer”. What’s becoming apparent, as I increasingly travel the length and breadth of India 🇮🇳 to spread the message, people are looking for an answer to their health. #Longevity to most of us is not about wanting to live forever or attain some seemingly abstract number like 120 or 200 years old. No. It’s about living well. About living healthier. About enjoying life. About becoming a better version of who I am. About lifestyle practices that are scientifically backed that confirm ancient wisdom. It’s a simple and powerful message. And it’s gaining momentum. 🧬💪🏼 Thank you to everyone that came out last night and I’m sorry I couldn’t spend more time with you all. 🌟 **Medical Leverage in India: Appreciating What We Often Take for Granted** 🌟In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to overlook the incredible resources we have at our fingertips, especially in the realm of healthcare. In India, we are fortunate to have some of the finest doctors and medical professionals dedicated to supporting us on our journeys to recovery. Their expertise and compassion are invaluable, yet we often take this for granted. This principle of appreciation extends beyond healthcare; it resonates in all aspects of our lives—personal, professional, and social. Our interactions with others, the lessons we learn from our communities, and the relationships we build are all shaped by the people around us. It’s a reminder that it’s 'people' who truly make a difference. Today, let’s take a moment to value what we have. Reflect on the support systems in your life—be it a mentor, a friend, or a healthcare provider. Recognizing these blessings not only enhances our gratitude but also enriches our experiences and interactions. What are you grateful for today? Do you have any examples of how the people in your life have made a significant impact? Share your thoughts below! 👇💬#Gratitude #Healthcare #Community #India #PeopleMatter #Appreciation

🚨 Did you know India has the highest number of "doctors" in the world? No, I'm not just talking about qualified professionals—I'm referring to everyone in India who suddenly becomes an expert on health! 🤔 You see, every 10th person you meet—be it a cricketer, actor, shopkeeper, or even your neighbor—seems ready to share their "expert" medical advice. It's like we all have a medical degree tucked away somewhere! 🙃 Just think about it: people who have been battling chronic illnesses often turn into specialists after a few weeks in the hospital. They learn so much that they can't wait to share their "knowledge" with others. It’s not uncommon to hear health tips from unexpected sources, but have you ever heard an actor offering legal advice? Not quite the same, right? Recently, I came across a viral clip of Navjot Sidhu offering insights on cancer treatment—without any medical backing! The TATA Cancer Institute even had to step in with a press release. So, while India may not be lacking in treatments, it seems we have an overload of opinions—and that might just be more harmful than helpful. Let’s think critically and prioritize evidence-based advice. It’s time to seek the right knowledge from qualified professionals rather than relying on "experts" from every corner. #HealthAdvice #MedicalMyths #CriticalThinking #India #HealthCare #MedicalProfessionals #SeekExpertise
