🌟 Empowerment in Unity: An Insightful Tradition 🌟 In a world that often moves too fast, Eid is a time that calls for reflection, togetherness, and inclusivity. Taking a page from history, Umm Atiyah, a revered companion of the Prophet, reminds us of an important tradition: during Eid, women and children, including those not performing the prayer, would participate in the communal gathering. The experience is more than just prayer—it's about: - Celebrating unity and the sense of community. - Hearing the uplifting sounds of takbir. - Engaging in dua and being part of a larger collective experience. While joining these communal events, an essential reminder is to preserve modesty and avoid any distractions. This timeless wisdom speaks to maintaining the sanctity of the occasion. How do you engage with your community during times of celebration? Share your thoughts and let's learn from each other! #EidTraditions #CommunityEngagement #CulturalInsight #CollectiveWisdom #WomenEmpowerment #CelebratingTogether

Assure Ability wishes you and your loved ones a blessed and joyous Eid ul-Adha! May this special occasion bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to your life. Eid ul-Adha, also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is one of the most important Islamic holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, Ismail (Ishmael), in obedience to God's command. Here are the key aspects of its significance: 1. Faith and Obedience: The holiday underscores the importance of faith and obedience to God. Prophet Ibrahim's readiness to sacrifice his beloved son demonstrates ultimate submission to God's will. 2. Sacrifice: Eid ul-Adha involves the ritual of animal sacrifice (Qurbani). The meat from the sacrificed animal is divided into three parts: one-third for the family, one-third for relatives and friends, and one-third for the needy. This act symbolizes willingness to give up things dear to us in devotion to God and to share blessings with others. 3. Charity and Community: It emphasizes the spirit of giving and community. By distributing meat to the less fortunate, Muslims ensure that everyone can partake in the festive meal, promoting social equality and compassion. 4. Hajj Connection: Eid ul-Adha coincides with the completion of Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. It is a time when millions of Muslims around the world are united in their worship and rituals, reinforcing the sense of global Muslim unity. 5. Reflection and Gratitude: The festival is also a time for Muslims to reflect on their own faith and to be grateful for the blessings they have received. It is an opportunity to renew their commitment to God and to seek forgiveness for past sins. Assure Ability hopes this Eid brings joy and blessings to you and your family. #KumbhMela Cultural and religious events like the Kumbh Mela are evolving in modern times. Historically, the Kumbh Mela has been a gathering of spiritual seekers and ordinary devotees, offering equal access to everyone regardless of socioeconomic status. It was a symbol of inclusivity, where the focus was on spiritual pursuits, cultural connection, and faith. However, commercialization and privatization have transformed such events, sometimes prioritizing profits over the accessibility of ordinary citizens. The rise in costs, from accommodations to basic amenities, makes it difficult for the common person to participate in an event that was traditionally their own. This mirrors a broader trend seen in many religious spaces, where VIP services and expensive offerings cater disproportionately to the wealthy, sidelining the true essence of accessibility and equality. At the same time, the government and private entities argue that the increased prices are due to infrastructural improvements, crowd management, and safety measures. They claim the revenue supports maintaining the event’s scale and sanctity. However, when these measures disproportionately exclude the ordinary person, the purpose and inclusivity of the event come under question. The question here is about finding a balance—ensuring that the spiritual and cultural essence of Kumbh Mela is preserved while making it accessible and affordable for everyone, irrespective of their financial background. It would be a significant step forward if authorities could create separate provisions for economically weaker sections and ensure fair pricing for accommodations and facilities. Such practices will preserve the authenticity of the Kumbh Mela as a universal gathering, where faith and devotion remain the true currency.

This is ONE way to generate trust with BOTH your employees and clients.
Every autumn, people post online about how their organizations have excluded them from important meetings and events because they were thoughtlessly scheduled during the Jewish High Holidays. Judaism is the largest religious minority in the US. You can't legitimately claim you are an inclusive organization if you aren't paying attention to important days on which meetings should NOT be scheduled. Here is a partial schedule of the most important days for this fall. Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) Begins sunset of Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Ends nightfall of Friday, October 4, 2024 No work is permitted. Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) Begins sunset of Friday, October 11, 2024 Ends nightfall of Saturday, October 12, 2024 No work is permitted. Sukkot (Harvest Festival) Begins sunset of Wednesday, October 16, 2024 Ends nightfall of Wednesday, October 23, 2024 No work is permitted on October 17 - 18. #Jew #Jewish #Judiasm #HighHolidays #RoshHashanah #YomKippur #Sukkot #Inclusion #Diversity #Equity

#Silence and #erasure of #PalestinianSuffering is not about protecting Jewish people or about #antiSemitism. Many in the #Jewish community have condemned the occupiers' actions for decades. So why are we seeing so many reports of Western employers suppressing Pali support in the #workplace? The most #vulnerable and #marginalized individuals in the #workplace today are #Palestinians and #PaliAmericans like me. (Hello 👋🏼!) Since the #Nakba in 1948, #forceddisplacements, and decades of inescapable violence, millions of Palestinians, including myself, live in the #diaspora. We could be your #colleagues, #classmates, or #clients. Are you creating a #safespace for us? Are you checking in with us? Many employees stand with anti-gen oh cyde priniciples. Employers need to understand this, yet many employees face #silence, #censorship, and #retaliation, often citing the discomfort of others as an excuse. Only #racists and those benefiting from “whiteness” feel uncomfortable, and they NEED to be challenged. Real #DEI involves discomfort. It should challenge your #mindset and #worldview, especially for those benefiting from “whiteness.” Without discomfort, how can growth and #decolonization occur? How will you support your Pali and #refugee clients facing immense #grief? How will you use your #voice, #platform, #position, and #privilege to #advocate for your Pali clients and colleagues? PS Our hearts are full with #gratitude for the #solidarity and commitment to our #community and our people’s #liberation and we support your rights to express that solidarity in your workplace. Thank you!
