"These imperialists have only one stereotype in mind: Africa is the empire of slaves. This is how they see Africa. For them, Africans belong to them, our lands belong to them, our subsoil belongs to them. They have never been able to change their mindset to this day––it's deplorable. They proudly announce every year in their economic surveys: Burkina Faso is the poorest country, Mali is the poorest country, Niger is the poorest country. We are ranked among the last. Very well, if we are as poor as they say, then when the time came to take responsibility, we asked these masters to leave. Why do they not want to leave? When we take the case of Niger, for more than 40 years, some countries have been exploiting uranium to produce energy for themselves. From Ottawa to Paris, the streets are lit up, it's light, but in Niger, it's darkness that serves us. When you go to our states, our lands are dug up everywhere to find precious metals like gold, but often there is not even a single accessible road to reach the areas where they exploit gold, let alone certain basic social services. That’s why we decided to revolt and take the destiny of our countries into our own hands." #IbrahimToure #AfricaCaribbean #EconomicEmancipation #Decolonisation #Multulipolarity #RememberSlavery #Reparations #NewWorldOrder

The most compelling and insightful analysis of the changes that October 7th 2023 events have generated. Hamas a Sunni organization played an extreme card to stop the Abraham’s agreement signature counting on Iran support and Israel fragmented internal political situation. A year later and tens of thousands of victims, the Iranian regime has proven very shaky and unreliable for its proxies. The end of Nasrallah is the ultimate game changer. A new paradigm is being designed in the Middle East which will deeply impact the #energy strategies of the World. Gilles Kepel’s interview on Europe 1 (in French) outlines some relevant information and lays out insightful scenarios in global #geopolitics.

Duty of Memory: Origin and uses of the word Guinea, name of three Black/African countries, the word Guinea is also used in other cultures, with a sometimes unexpected meaning, (the origin of the word Guinea is uncertain, (the word Guinea appears for the first time with certainty in texts written in 1453 in a synthesis of the accounts of Portuguese voyages of exploration by a historian of this country Gomes Eanes de Zurara); « The word Guinea designates all Blacks/Africans downstream of the Senegal River, however we find European atlases from 1320 and 1375 referring to countries called respectively Gunuia and Giniya, (Are these names the same as the one used later to designate Guinea?) » According to one hypothesis, the word Guinea would be derived from a North African Berber word aghinaw meaning Black. However, the Berber word could be derived from a Black/African name, such as postulates M.D.W. Jeffreys (Guinea - indications on the origin of this word), citing a passage from the Andalusian explorer Leo Africanus.

Duty of Memory: The history of modern Sudan and South Sudan (South Sudan, the new nation of the world, was once an important part of Sudan, the country to the North); « The conflicts between what is now Sudan and South Sudan are often understood through their historical roots (centuries of exploitation and slavery by the Arab North against the Black/African South, followed by the Great -Britain and the Egyptian imperialist power Ling) » Arab tribes first arrived in Sudan from Upper Egypt and across the Red Sea in the Middle Ages, and colonial occupation began in the 19th century. However, it is impossible to explain the recent conflicts in Sudan from a single point of view or in simple terms.

Totally on board with PP. The programs you are trying to "impress" Canadians are nothing more than socialist programs leading to dictatorship. If you as federal government, any federal government was in charge of these programs, citizens would be at the mercy of federal government and you would be in charge to dictate the rules while using our taxdollars to fund the programs. Give it up, your are not helping Canadians, you are trying to enslave Canadians to your rules by pretending to be the saviour. No thanks, definitely not interested. Not interested in my tax dollars being used to pay for somebody else's birth control, teeth, national school food programs or any other program. Who pays for parents with children to receive money under child care benefits? The entire country, whoever pays taxes, that's who. Not the government, the taxpayers. You don't have any money to "invest" as you call it, taxpayers dollars pay for everything including your over-inflated salaries and pensions. Canadians are hungry and you have the audacity to increase taxes, cause inflation, while you live high and mighty, and citizens are suffering. You have a spending problem, spending money which is not yours and you abuse it, spending our taxdollars on stupidities and if we call you out on it, you abuse us by name calling. We pay your salary and want to fire you, not tomorrow, or next election, now, right now, today. Call an election.
Pierre Poilievre has spent 20 years trying to cut the programs Canadians rely on. PierresRecord.ca

An important conversation with UNRWA colleagues today. UNRWA is in an impossible position, struggling with reduced funding to fufill its humanitarian mandate and responsibility towards displaced, suffering and threatened people and communities in the most difficult and dangerous of circumstances. They do this on behalf of the entire international community, but at the same time are beset by accusations, acute political pressures and threats of many kinds - including to their very lives - simply for providing a humanitarian response where no one else is able or willing to do. #Gaza #Palestine #Lebanon #SupportUNRWA. https://lnkd.in/egTgff5B
