Remote Jobs - The market has shifted. But opportunity hasn't disappeared. I spoke to a lot of people lately that said they never had a problem finding their next role - now it looks different unfortunately. What's changed: → More competition → Higher bar for applications → Insecurity created by big corps RTO What works now: 💚 Targeted applications (Quality > quantity) 💚 Remote-specific CV (Show virtual collaboration skills) 💚 Digital presence (Your LinkedIn IS your elevator pitch) 💚 Network leverage (Internal referrals > cold applications) 💚 Value demonstration (Portfolio > promises) 💚 Play the long game (Consistency > Sprint) And don't forget to think long-term. You don't "job hunt" you are building a remote career 💚 Do you feel like the market has changed? Credits: Eva Spexard

I'll never go back to an office. Not because I don't have one anymore 😜 But because remote work means: → I can skip the makeup. → I can dress comfortably. → I can have a healthy lunch. → I can work from anywhere. → I can enjoy more free time. → I can go for a walk at 3 PM. → I can run quick errands anytime. → I can co-work with anyone I choose. → I can avoid office drama and politics. → I can work when I'm most productive. → I can travel and work at the same time. → I can focus deeply without distractions. → I can save money on lunch and commuting. Remote work improves lives and helps us perform at our best. What do you love most about working remotely? P.S. No more office in Taipei! 🇹🇼 We’ve been fully remote since 2020, and no one used the hot seats anyway. *** ♻ Like and repost with your network. 🔔 I'm Gina. I help job seekers land remote jobs and build remote careers.

"You may be able to find a remote job, but you'll never build a successful career as a remote employee." "If you want to achieve your career goals, you'll have to prioritize your career over your family." "Your values are admirable, but you'll have to compromise eventually." "You won't ever be successful if you keep putting the needs of others above your own." Here's a handful of the well-intended career advice I've received over the years. All these examples came from people I trusted who sincerely wanted me to be successful but couldn't imagine how it was possible without changing my trajectory. I'm glad I never listened. That's not to say there haven't been times when their advice seemed like the only path. However, creative problem-solving, patience, discipline, and determination have proven otherwise. It hasn't been easy or fair. Lots of people have told me I'd fail. People say no far more than yes. Some people have even gone out of their way to see me fail. But in the end, it's always been worth it. So, remember, while you can't always influence the people or environment around you, you have control over how you respond. People only get to define your path if you let them.

I loved sitting down with Wesley Kennedy-Sita and Tom Farr in studio to talk about the benefits of onsite work and why many employers are choosing to relocate new hires, instead of looking at remote work arrangements. Relocation, especially from out of province, can have many additional complexities, like spousal work supports, enrolling kids in new schools, finding vet clinics for pets, and of course sustainable housing, but for many roles and work arrangements, there is no better option. Relocation can be a daunting task for a hiring manager already overwhelmed, or for an organization that's never had to go down this path before. We appreciate the trust and partnerships with not only our clients who explore this as an option, but for the individuals and families who are wanting that better opportunity, or that next great adventure.

Remote Job Pro Search Tip💻 Here are 5 strategies to try out next week when searching for a remote job 👇🏽 💡 Apply promptly to newly listed roles, typically posted within the last 1-4 days. 💡Ensure your LinkedIn profile shines, as recruiters and founders often peruse it. 💡Remember, you don’t require perfect experience; acknowledge the value of your existing skills. 💡 Be two steps ahead of other candidates, apply with a resume then reach out to startup founders looking to build their teams and send them a personalized message showing how you can be a great addition to their team. 💡Explore Wellfound.com or Crunchbase for startup founders seeking talent. You can also utilize LinkedIn's search filters by typing "remote startup founders" or "startup founders hiring" to connect directly with them. (ps, my favorite time for Coldmailing are Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) If this tips were helpful, let me know next week when you try it ❤️ ————————————- Looking for the latest inclusive remote jobs, check out inclusivelyremote.com #remotejobs #remotework #careertips #jobseekersupport #superstar
