Ghana's leadership in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is incredibly encouraging! The AfCFTA's ambition to create a single market of 1.7 billion people presents a significant opportunity to boost economic resilience and unlock prosperity across the continent. This initiative directly supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and crucially, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). A stable democratic environment in Ghana, provides a cornerstone for the AfCFTA's success, while further establishing the country as a premium destination for investment and business. Earlier in May, during the just concluded AFRICAN CEOS FORUM, held in Kigali, Rwanda. The long-standing Africa's Richest Man, and President of the Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote mentioned clearly, how the instabilities in the policies of African governments, affect business growth in Africa. In the Transport and Logistics sector, there are countless number of dues, fees and taxes, direct and indirect, that operators are mandated to pay. Businesses of all levels, from dispatch riders, taxi drivers to multi-million naira companies, are taxed with these endless levies. Outside the other challenges of instability in the cost of fueling, this is one challenge that presses the neck of operators in the Transport and Logistics sector. The current government, has said it's looking critically into the issues pertaining to multiple taxation, with a committee setup, under the leadership of Taiwo Oyedele , we hope some level of alleviation is felt, someday.

Exciting news! The Namibia-Kenya Chamber of Commerce (NKCC) is officially launching tomorrow, November 22nd, in Windhoek, Namibia. This new association is set to be a vital bridge for investors and traders seeking opportunities between the two vibrant nations of Kenya and Namibia.
