A collaboration between Terra Charge 🌍 and BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) charging network in Delhi, India. The collaboration aims to install and maintain advanced chargers across Delhi and build a network of public EV charging hubs. The partners plan to deploy a range of slow AC and fast DC charging options, while providing round-the-clock monitoring and support for the EV charging network. Additionally, multiple training and awareness programs will be conducted to promote EV usage in the community.Terra Charge and BYPL aim to support the Delhi Government's vision of installing EV charging stations every 5 km along the Outer Ring Road. The collaboration also seeks to strengthen the USD 913 million Indian EV charging infrastructure market, with a focus on areas where EV penetration is high but advanced EV charging infrastructure is lacking. The International Council on Clean Transportation (#ICCT) will lead the task force, focusing on electric trucks and supporting infrastructure development. The task force aims to engage stakeholders through workshops and meetings to gather insights and recommendations on #e-truck adoption and related infrastructure. Medium and heavy-duty trucks constitute only 2% of the total vehicle population in India but contribute to 45% of overall vehicular road transport emissions. 5,000 E-cars for govt sector: Union minister Manohar Lal launches CESL's 'EV as a Service' programme New Delhi: In a push towards green mobility, Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), launched its ‘EV as a Service’ programme, targeting the deployment of 5,000 electric cars in government ministries and public sector units over the next two years. The programme was unveiled by Union minister of power and housing & urban affairs Manohar Lal at an event held at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.
