Skilled workers are in demand for welders, sheet metal, electricians, plumbers, and more. We see companies daily seeking these types of candidates. Wanted: More plumbers A shortage of plumbers in the U.S. threatens to not only delay your leaky sink repair; it’s also costing the economy billions, according to Bloomberg. Put simply, there are not enough new plumbers to replace those heading into retirement. Over the next decade, the number of open jobs for plumbers, pipefitters and steamfitters will average about 42,600 each year, per the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Contributing to the shortage is the perception that plumbing is a dirty job with long hours. Fixing the problem will take time. “This is a generational issue,” according to one industry expert. #skilledtrades #wanted #hiringnow

Skilled laborers (like electricians, plumbers, etc.) earn $35-50 per hour. Contractors in skilled trades over 6 figures. The correct answer to earning a liveable wage is your career path, ability and skills. Delivering boxes is not a highly developed skill. That sounds harsh I know, but it is the truth. #skills #workforce #personaldevelopment #motivation #electrical #plumbing #contracting #realestate #labor #hiring

These statistics are eye-opening, but there’s a promising solution. Advances in #robotics, #AI, and wearable tech are transforming the skilled trades. In welding, collaborative and autonomous robots are making dangerous tasks safer and more efficient, enabling welders to focus on more complex aspects of the job. For electricians and plumbers, AI and wearable technology are revolutionizing how they work. Real-time instructions, troubleshooting tools, and service guides are empowering workers to make quicker, more accurate decisions on-site. These technologies assist with proper issue identification and provide guidance for repairs, all while streamlining parts ordering and improving service efficiency. With these tools, workers are learning to work smarter, not harder, improving productivity while ensuring safety and accuracy. Investing in training systems focused on robotics, AI, and wearable tech will ensure that the next generation of workers is prepared to meet the growing demands of these industries. #skilledtrades #robotics #AI #wearabletech #welding #electricians #plumbers #automation #savethetrades

I’m shocked by these statistics. By 2028, we’ll need… 330,000 welders. 153,000 experienced welders are set to retire soon. Every year, we require 82,500 new welders and 80,000 electricians. And it doesn’t stop there. For every 5 skilled workers leaving the trades, only 2 new ones are stepping in. By 2030, here’s what we’re up against: ▶️ 550,000 plumber positions to fill ▶️ 690,000 manufacturing jobs needed ▶️ Critical shortages in carpentry ▶️ An urgent demand for millwrights Are you or someone you know looking for a new career in 2025? I learned of these stats from Andrew Brown, Skilled Trades Advocate. If you want to learn more about the opportunities in trades please message Andrew today.
