#TechThrowbackThursday 🔙💡 Did you know that on May 16, 1960, Physicist Theodore Maiman made history by creating the first laser light, using a synthetic-ruby crystal device. While Maiman wasn't the first to theorise about lasers or to apply for patents, he was the first in making an operational laser device. This initial invention didn't produce the continuous beam we're now familiar but rather a pulse. However, this amazing achievement laid the groundwork for other researchers to develop the first continuous laser beam shortly after. Today, it's hard to imagine our world without lasers. This technology is used in healthcare, for surgeries and eye treatments, in the entertainment industry, creating spectacular light shows and in technology and manufacturing, where lasers are pivotal for cutting materials with astonishing precision. In telecommunications they are used for transmitting data over vast distances, and in everyday gadgets like barcode scanners and printers. At Jalapeño, we're inspired by such achievements. The journey of laser technology from its beginning to its presence today reminds us of all the endless possibilities when we embrace innovation. ☀️ If you're looking to upgrade your old tech, Jalapeño are here to guide you. Our team will work with you to find the best solutions tailored to your business needs, ensuring you leverage the latest advancements to stay competitive. 🌟 #Innovation #Technology #LaserTech #BusinessSolutions

When your shipping company decides to use your package as a wrecking ball and delivers the world’s most sophisticated and highest power medical sensor lasers all smashed to hell at your clients doorstep yesterday in London!!! Bill Plano, Grant Varnau, and Lich Vo work the weekend to mill, assemble, and test new replacement parts for me to hand carry on tomorrow’s overnight London flight to have at opening of business Monday morning to meet customer commitments. We are not done yet, but I could not be prouder of our team. Thank you guys!! I’m believing these specific sensing lasers are going to help clients achieve quantum leaps in the development of cost effective hand held medical instruments. Our nano sized, fixed wave length, single spatial mode, coherent lasers continue to replace lasers that require hundreds of thousands of dollars of investment with longer lasting maintensce free devices that we can build at scale and volume right here in Texas. We’re passionate about photonics and about customer success. Our clients really are changing the world of life/medical sciences. Not saying we don’t love other industry segments too! Ooops!😁 Here’s Lich performing the fifth of six specific sets of tests this particular product will go through before it goes to the customer. What’s scary, is I’m the guy trusted to deliver it. Love my Photodigm Team! Don’t ask for tracking info! Cheers. #Photodigm #Photonics #DBR #Isobragg

This paper present an active sensing array for microwave imaging of the breast in the frequency range from 3 GHz to 8 GHz. This array is composed of printed slot antennas integrated with #low-#noise #amplifiers (#LNAs). The proposed active array is designed to interface with an array of mixer chips to provide an electronically scanned sensing array with #intermediate #frequency (#IF) switching, thus overcoming the limitations of the current RF-switched arrays employed in tissue imaging. The IF-switched architecture allows for the multiplexing of 16×16 (256) IF sensing ports. The performance of the active sensor array is verified by both simulation and measurement. ---- Nooshin Valizade Shahmirzadi, Jimmy Nguyen, Romina Kazemivala, Ph.D., E.I.T, Natalia Nikolova, Chih-Hung Chen More details can be found at this link: https://lnkd.in/eGXZdTRs
