For the past few years we’ve been delivering the Health Anchors Learning Network funded by The Health Foundation. 'Anchor institutions' are rooted in a place and have significant assets, giving them a real opportunity to use these resources to benefit their community 📈 🚀 Through the Network we support these organisations - such as hospitals, Local Authorities and businesses - to think creatively about tackling inequalities, for instance through employment, environmental action and their supply chains 🌱 ⚖ We've used a variety of methods, including events, toolkits and creating the first online anchor learning programme (it's free, so take a look!) 🛠 In this new #impact story, I summarise how we've leveraged a learning network to drive real change across the UK: https://lnkd.in/em_vEu3p 👀 🎯 #nhsanchors #localauthorities #localgov #tackleinequalities #procurement #environment #employment #placebased #localchange
How can anchor institutions take a preventative approach to community health? We’re proud to deliver the Health Anchors Learning Network, funded by The Health Foundation, which supports anchor institutions to intentionally reduce inequalities ⚖️ In times of acute pressures and financial strain, this work is key to reducing pressures on our #PublicServices longer term 📉 Read our latest impact story: https://lnkd.in/egVETaQQ

Undeniable evidence shows that professional CHWs (#proCHWs) significantly improve access, equity, and health outcomes. Because community health workers work! They work in pandemics: https://lnkd.in/dDSnRnrj And they work in conflict zones, reducing mortality: https://lnkd.in/dHJQfRDd (Research by founding Coalition member Muso ) War time, peace time, boom time, bust time, CHWs are a no-regrets investment in #healthforall.
