🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 The Interreg Danube Region Programme Monitoring Committee has recently approved 36 new #SMFprojects, marking a significant step forward in our collaborative efforts towards sustainable development and innovation. These bodies comprise representatives from all partner countries. DRP also supports the implementation of the Danube Region Strategy. Among these promising initiatives, I'm thrilled to underscore the IDEAM NBS project, a key contributor to the EUSDR PA5 on #naturebasedsolutions. This project is set to revolutionize our approach to #environmentalsustainability by integrating innovative nature-based strategies. Additionally, the DANURELY-WS project, developed by the Global Water Partnership - Central and Eastern Europe (GWP-CEE), is making remarkable strides in water management and regional cooperation. The selected project proposal creates strategically aligned youth-targeted activities supporting the EUSDR Strategy Action Points of the Priority areas PA4 (Water Quality), PA5 (Environmental Risks), PA7 (Knowledge Society) in a mid-term, and through partners and Danube Youth Council Members is linked to PA 1A(Waterways Mobility) and PA9 (People & Skills). This initiative promises to enhance water security and resilience in our communities. Congratulations to all the teams involved in these groundbreaking projects! Let's continue to drive positive change and foster sustainable solutions for our future. 🌍🚀 You can check to other selected projects on the link! ⤵ #Sustainability #Innovation #NatureBasedSolutions #WaterManagement #EUSDR #GWPCEE #SMFProjects

The mandate given to us by Minister Alexandra Sdoukou to develop and lead Greece's CCUS programme is a testament to our staff and executive leadership at Hellenic Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company (HEREMA S.A.), as well as to the political and strategic foresight and unwavering support for integrated, sustainable, solutions by the Greek Government. Today, as we find ourselves in the final preparation and run-up to #Cop29, I recall the words by the International Energy Agency (IEA) "CCUS must form a key pillar in the efforts to put the world on the path to #NetZero"
Back in early 2021, while working on Greece’s Recovery and Resilience Plan at the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, we first examined the concept of developing Greece’s first Carbon Storage Facility in Prinos, Kavala. Believing in the project from day one, we managed to get it approved for funding under #RRF, we supported the development of an entire ecosystem through funding by #Innovation_Fund, we are creating a regulatory framework as a #Reform under #REPowerEU and we have appointed a designated authority, Hellenic Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company (HEREMA S.A.), to transform the #CCS Sector into a reality. And today, the European Commission gave us the green light to proceed with our #CCS aspirations! It might take a bit of time and it might take a bit of effort, but this is how real change happens: you believe, you set out the plan, you put in the work and, eventually, you see change happen! Congratulations to Energean and to all involved in this seminal moment in Greece’s #decarbonisation journey. https://lnkd.in/dpASbcXz

We present the new IPGC proposal, Intelligent Arrangements. This initiative aims to expand the Smart City concept throughout the country, while also addressing structural challenges within the Brazilian federative pact, such as municipal fragmentation and the dispersion of the Municipal Participation Fund. To completely comprehend the significance of this associated management, it is essential to reflect on the current configuration of Brazil’s 5.570 municipalities and the 1.250 with fewer than 5.000 inhabitants. Our objective is public spending intelligence, and Intelligent Arrangements represent the pathway to achieving it, fostering a more balanced and sustainable development for all. #IPGCBrasil #PPP
