WHEN IT COMES TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING, THE PUBLIC AND TAXPAYERS MUST ASK: AT WHAT COST TO THE TAXPAYERS AND HOW LONG IS THE AFFORDABILITY PERIOD? What guarantees exist that tenants in the affordable housing units will not be displaced after an "affordability period expires? Any LOCAL, STATE or FEDERAL official that does not MANDATE "permanent" affordability periods or affordability "IN PERPETUITY" for any project receiving some government benefit is commiting MALFEASANCE and should quit, be removed from office or be terminated. IN MOST CASES WHEN IT COMES TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING, the public and taxpayer are being fooled into thinking their elected and appointed officials are solving problems, when in fact, all hey have done is "KICK THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD" to burden a future generation with the same problem or crisis!

To my fellow zebras. Not all strength is physical. 🦓 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Just like zebras use their stripes to blend into the herd, a team can develop a 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦. ⚡ When everyone is aligned and working toward a shared goal, the team becomes 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 and harder to 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘳𝘶𝘱𝘵. ⚡Each individual contributes to the whole, making the team more resilient in challenging situations. 🦓 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀: In a herd, zebras protect each other, reducing the chance of individual vulnerability. ⚡In the same way, teamwork encourages 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 and 𝘮𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵, so that when one person faces a challenge, the team rallies to help. ⚡This creates a culture of trust and safety, where people feel supported. 🦓 𝗔𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱: Zebras are known for their quick and coordinated responses when threatened. ⚡In a team setting, this could translate into agility—being able to react swiftly and 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘱𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 to changes or problems in the workplace. August has been a wild one. We took on more projects than ever before, launched a few, handed some off, expanded our network—and we turned one. We’ve been reflecting a lot on the past year, revisiting old docs, videos, notes, and brainstorm sessions. Sometimes we wonder, who were those people from a year ago talking about all this? We can relate to their vision, but in many ways, they seem completely different. It’s surreal, like… how did this all happen? Of course, we were driven and passionate about the work we wanted to create and the brand we wanted to build. We had a strong vision of what we wanted and what we didn’t. We have strategic plans, business goals, yearly plans, to-do lists, and schedules. But sometimes, looking back, it felt like we were just along for the ride. We took so many risks, threw caution to the wind, and rolled with it. And we’re better for it. Embracing the unknown, we tried everything we could to find a strong message that resonated and felt like us. Felt like DEEO. We worked tirelessly to keep improving, stay ahead, and connect with people who are smarter and doing great work. We knew that was only making us better. Looking back, some things we did, we still do today; others, we've evolved past. But every step was crucial in getting us here. And that cycle will continue—the idea that everything we do today, in some way, will inform who we are tomorrow. We always want to do the best work we’re capable of. And when we hit that goal, we set a new bar. It’s not just about doing great work for our clients; it is core to who we are as individual creatives who share a vision. We constantly ask, how do we stay relevant? How do we keep innovating? How do we put creative ideas into the world that make people stop and think, “Yeah, that. I want that.” For us, it’s about never getting comfortable. And always staying curious. Cheers to year two.
