💡How do we get patients and clinicians to trust AI for healthcare?
Ready for HLTH Europe - the European debut of the no.1 US health event? So are we! (And we’ll be appearing on a panel, too!) 🌍
We previously shared some of our top picks for talks at the conference next week – including a panel that asks: “Is trust the biggest hurdle facing AI?”
Because to truly be able to revolutionize health systems with generative AI technology, we need buy-in from clinicians and the trust of patients.
At Corti, that’s something we think about a lot. A lot of the wariness around AI often involves concerns about technology replacing humans. But the design of our healthcare AI is built on valuing the skills and training of healthcare professionals – and the power of the human touch in patient care. Not replacing it. 👨🏽⚕️ 🧑⚕️
For example - our technology works as both a clerk and co-pilot, easing the time-consuming clerical aspects of healthcare and offering real-time prompts during a consultation to alert the clinician to any possible gaps or human errors. And in urgent emergency dispatch contexts, it supports phone operators in accurately triaging by identifying subtle signs of critical conditions, like stroke or cardiac arrest. 🚑
Like many innovators in the healthcare space, we’re evolving Corti as a human-technology collaboration, enhancing the ability of human healthcare staff at every level to deliver better and more accurate care, while reducing their administrative burden. 🦾 💪
Maybe a big part of building trust in AI is about reframing the mindset – away from technology replacing our invaluable healthcare professionals, and towards supporting their work for the benefit of patients.
