Four-day workweeks for nonprofit consultants: What does it really look like? One member of Funding for Good’s nonprofit consulting community is committed to creating a four-day workweek – or maybe even a three-day workweek! 🙌 But what does that schedule look like in practice for a #NonprofitConsultant? How do you manage client expectations? How do you keep your own “always-on” tendencies in check? Here’s what our community shared: 🎯Schedule client work (aka working “in the biz”) for Monday through Thursday and hold Fridays to work “on the biz.” 🎯Don’t schedule meetings on Fridays! 🎯Give yourself time at the start of the week (or before the start if that reduces your anxiety) to prep your plans for the week. 🎯If you can’t quite commit to four-day weeks, try rotating half-days across the week: For example, working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. 🎯Schedule a full month off at some point during the year.
