Really enjoyed our discussion yesterday at #WWTInnovationAndSmartWater - always a pleasure to be surrounded by change makers in the industry Suhayl Zulfiquar Nigel Watson Annesley Crisp To summarise our conversation, because I whole-heartedly agree with everything we touched on: 🏊♀️ We need to build greater people intelligence and embrace the social sciences - community opinion and customer expectation matters now more than ever. 💾 The water sector has to embrace and design for AI now, or face a near future in the digital dark ages. 🧠 We need to prioritise future talent. Diverse talent. And invest in digital skills across our organisations. 💰 We need to enable a start-up ecosystem - funding mechanisms to support cashflow, and MUCH faster decision making. 👸 And the thing that everyone seems to know, but it's always worth reiterating: if innovation is to thrive in an organisation, leadership has to be its biggest champion. #diversityandinclusion #innovation #socialsciences #strategy #aiadoption #sustainability #leadership #culture
I’m sorry I missed it this year! Your comments are absolutely right - there’s so much we need to achieve, and achieve rapidly if we are to make water sustainable and resilient for ourselves and future generations - this needs a well oiled innovation ecosystem across the sector.
