May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it's crucial to acknowledge the impact social media can have on your mental well-being.🥰 While platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn can offer opportunities to create a community of like-minded people, they can also contribute to feelings of comparison, inadequacy, overwhelm and sadly at times, welcome unsavoury comments. ✨It's important to recognize that it's okay to take a break from social media when needed. Setting boundaries and prioritizing your mental health is not only acceptable but necessary. ✨If scrolling through your feed feels triggering or overwhelming, it's okay to step back and prioritize self-care however that may look. ✨Remember, social media is meant to be fun and connect, not detract from your life. If you are looking to follow people or accounts that lift you, one of my favourite people who always brings a laugh and smile to my face is Jessica Holmes . Her light-hearted wisdom and warmth shine through her content and is a prime example of how social media should be a place of fun. What accounts or people do you follow that make you smile? 🧡 #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #socialmedia #socialmediamanager #keynotespeakers #takeabreak

🌍💚 On this World Mental Health Day, let's take a moment to remember that behind every LinkedIn profile is a real person with their own journey, struggles, and triumphs. In our fast-paced, goal-oriented lives, it's easy to forget that those we connect with are not just names or titles; they are individuals with emotions and experiences. We often see LinkedIn as a platform for networking and career growth, but it is also a community where we should foster support and understanding. Let's make a conscious effort to check in on our connections and show empathy, whether through a simple message, encouragement, or by sharing resources for mental well-being. Remember, it's okay to take a step back and prioritize mental health. Today, let's advocate for kindness, compassion, and open discussions about mental health. Together, we can create a more supportive LinkedIn community where everyone feels valued and understood. 💪💙 #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthAwareness #SupportEachOther

Yesterday’s Mental Health Day posts really got me thinking. We often see posts, ads, and reels encouraging us to reach out, to ask for help when we're struggling. But how many of us actually feel like we have someone to turn to? Someone who truly listens, supports, and understands? It's easy to put out a message that says “reach out” or “ask for help,” but what happens when people do? Are we really prepared to be the support others need, or are we simply sharing the message because it's trending? Mental health isn't just about recognizing the signs within ourselves; it’s about creating an environment where others feel safe to open up. It's about building real connections, becoming that go-to person for someone, and fostering genuine care beyond social media. So, ask yourself this: Are you really there for the people around you? And who do you turn to when you need that support? Let’s not just talk about mental health once a year. Let’s be there—truly be there—for each other, every day. #MentalHealthMatters #SupportSystem #BeThere

If you struggle with the concept of mental health awareness week, please know that you are not alone. As someone who suffered from chronic depression in my 20s, I am truly grateful that we can now talk more openly about emotional health. However, this annual growing campaign and trend can feel really overwhelming. I’d prepared a joyful little post to share today. I then came to a feed of posts about depression and suicide. I found myself getting really low as I scrolled through my feed. I then got angry, thinking how no one will care by next week! I was about to write a negative post about it all. I then gave myself a little compassionate slap. Because I reminded myself that there’s no right or wrong. Some will find the help they need with this campaign, others may feel uncomfortable and vulnerable in the midst of it all. If you’re the latter, it’s OK to feel what you’re feeling! We can talk about mental health next week. Or in 2 weeks. Or 51 weeks in the year apart from that one week! 😚 You have free will. You don’t HAVE to like it, action anything or feel a certain way just because it seems everyone else does 🤗 ♥️ #mentalhealth #selfawareness #awareness

As we reach the 16th day of Mental Health Awareness Month, I've been noticing many news stories about job losses and market difficulties. It's a tough time for many, and it's important to remember that you're not alone. If you're feeling anxious, please reach out and TALK to someone. Breaking down challenges into smaller, manageable tasks can make them feel less overwhelming and more achievable. Lean on your network for support, whether for advice or just a listening ear. Here are some basics to help you through: Relax and reduce stress. Find ways to learn and be creative. Spend time in nature. Connect with others. Take care of your physical health. Aim for better sleep. Sending much love to my LinkedIn connections. Let's all strive to be positive and supportive to those around us. If anyone needs a friendly chat or help, my DMs are open. I'm here for you. #mentalhealth #yournotalone
