Want to conquer your next running race? 🏃♂️ Today, UFIT Personal Trainer & Running Coach, Kieran Benson, hosted a virtual run clinic for LinkedIn APAC employees, sharing valuable insights on how to best prepare for different race distances. Some key takeaways: ⭐ Create a realistic training plan customized to your race distance and lifestyle. This should include sessions to build endurance (zone 2 training), and speed/interval training to improve your anaerobic capacity. ⭐ Ensure your training plan takes into consideration injury prevention. Don’t increase your running volume too quickly in a short period of time. Sometimes Less Is More! I think a lot of guys have this misconception that more is better When this isn’t always the case Whether it comes down to food, training volume, PEDs, etc. Our goal should be to get the most out of the least And the reason for this is bodybuilding is a progressive sport Eventually, you are going to have to push things up in order to continue seeing progress So why would you use all of your tools at once? Instead, slow it down a little bit and get what you can from the least If you can eat 2500 calories and grow, do it! Cause eventually you are going to have to eat 3000, then 4000, etc. So if you dive right into the deep end and start eating 4000 calories where do you go from there?
