Last week, almost 800 community members Gathered in Lakeshore Park at The Big Table where we celebrated Leadership Knoxville's 40th anniversary and kicked off our Neighboring Movement! Attendees came together to have meaningful conversations about how we can be better neighbors and become a better Knoxville. - Special thanks to our emcee Hallerin Hilton Hill (LK 1996) and Dave Runyon (author, The Art of Neighboring) for leading the program. Also, a shoutout to 40th Anniversary Committee Chair Susan Dakak (LK 2016) and Owner of Yassin's Falafel House Yassin Terou (LK 2022) for reminding us of the significance of breaking bread and taking care of our community. - This event wouldn't have been possible without the support of our sponsors, community partners, and volunteers. A huge thank you to all who made it happen! We are also incredibly grateful for our LK alumni who stepped up and brought the extra lunches to our neighbors affected by Hurricane Helene in Newport, TN. The Servant Leadership that was shown by our community last Monday is truly inspiring!
