Leadership Lab NZ’s Post

We at Leadership Lab NZ, both Tangata Whenua and Tangata Tiriti are all committed to giving effect to the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The Rangatira always intended these to create a space for all cultures to live together in Aotearoa, and we are fully committed to playing our part in advocating for Ōritetanga - addressing inequities due to the breaches of this agreement over the last 180+ years. The sooner we can put the distraction and futility of this current Govt Bill aside and continue on the work of creating equity for all, the better. That’s what we at Leadership Lab NZ are committed to. We are a Tiriti o Waitangi-led, impact-focused leadership consultancy. We grow leaders in Aotearoa, New Zealand, who develop equitable and flourishing communities and organisations. https://lnkd.in/g3weG4F Tautoko to all those at the Hikoi today in Pōneke - Wellington. https://lnkd.in/gZ5Kt-Vc Chris Jansen Danette Abraham Jodi ( Te Aomarama) Apiata Cheryl Doig Pete Cammock Greg Jansen Tayla Taylor Jason Pemberton Erica Austin Darren Rewi Wiremu Gray Fi (Fiona) Deehan Daisy Lavea-Timo Tammi Martin Sooze Harris Wikitoria Kurene Cooper Sides Carolyn Stuart Judy Bruce Jennifer Chowaniec Stephen McConnachie Mahlon Saumalu Steve Jones-Poole Kath Harrison Libby Davenport Moira Mallon #collectiveimpact #toitūtetiriti

Gosh, I am proud to be a kiwi - with strong grounding in anti-colonial education. THIS is the conversation happening RIGHT NOW in New Zealand Aotearoa. About the need to uphold and honour indigenous rights, and also, the direct link between capitalism and colonisation; and the need for the prevailing current economic system to continue to benefit from continued expansion at the sake of profit over people. When will we truly understand that this is just one system; one mindset; one history - that offers us no solutions? Yes, it's uncomfortable. Yes, it's confronting. But oh gosh; it offers us so much! The rights of indigenous peoples are under attack, everywhere. NZ MP Chloe Swarbrick everyone 👇
