There are 3 essential questions that every fundraiser should ask their donors: How did you first get involved? Why do you stay involved? What aspects of your involvement have been most rewarding? The answers will be different for each donor and organization. The important thing is to listen and learn what this can tell you about those who consistently donate to your particular institution.

Major donors who continue to donate, and increase their donations, do so because they understand their connection to the organization and the impact they have with each gift. When you have an individual conversation, you can tailor the ask to their interests, their impact, and their giving level. You are asking for a specific gift from a specific person for a specific purpose. https://lnkd.in/eCv6-vSn

Let’s talk about annual giving Your approach to annual giving says a lot about your fundraising program overall. Are you nurturing your program by adding new names? Are you learning from your program by looking at your performance? Are you growing your prospect list with committed annual donors? Or Are you doing the same thing every year? Looking for a way to be more thoughtful with your annual giving efforts? Here’s one simple step to improving your program. Discover your LYBUNTS- who gave to your organization last year, but not this year. Once you know who these people are- go talk to them. Ask for advice on why they stopped giving. A couple of these conversations and you’ll be well on your way to raising more money. #AMPO #AnnualGiving #NonprofitFundraising #DonorEngagement #Philanthropy #FundraisingAppeal #CharityImpact #NonprofitSector #StrategicPhilanthropy #DonorStewardship #NonprofitSuccess
