A decade later, we’re proud to celebrate ten years of bringing this vision to life. Our mission has always been clear: to use creativity for the common good. And what a journey it’s been. Why Vision Boards are Essential for Your Career Growth. "A goal without a plan is just a wish, and a vision board is the roadmap to make those wishes come true." In this session, we explored the power of vision boards and their role in shaping our careers. We delved into what vision boards are and demonstrated how digital tools like Canva can simplify creating intuitive, personalized boards. Through a journey of self-reflection, we identified our strengths and weaknesses—key contributors to our accomplishments and challenges in the tech space. As the facilitator, I outlined the critical elements every vision board should feature: professional development goals, hard and soft skills, certifications, financial aspirations, work-life balance, and personal projects, among others. By the end of the session, participants left inspired, motivated, and equipped to take tangible steps toward their desired tech futures. Now, we’re all crafting our vision boards for 2025 with accountability partners by our side, ready to help us stay the course. As the end of a year is always the time for some reflections, here is onto my personal "review" of my first 6 months at STAEDTLER SE. The time since I joined on July 1 has been nothing short of exciting and energizing for myself. We clearly find ourselves in an industry navigating through times of challenges and uncertainty – and yet, this environment fuels our ambition and creativity. Over the last few months, we pressed the reset button and put in place a bold new global commercial growth strategy that got full support by our supervisory board, a new powerful organizational structure and a completely new mindset … just to mention a few accomplishments. We have initiated what I call the transformation into a new era – the NEW STAEDTLER Group. I’ve been so privileged to meet extraordinary people and leaders across the globe and functions who are ready to embrace the challenges ahead. Their commitment and enthusiasm are a powerful testament to our collective growth potential. What continues to amaze me is the history of our group – with our two umbrella brands STAEDTLER and ARTESCO. The original owners and leaders didn’t just accept the status quo - they continuously challenged it, defying the norms and conventional wisdom of their time. This pioneering spirit is a profound source of inspiration for all of us today. It’s an invitation to confidently push boundaries, bravely question old assumptions, and carve new paths forward. We have great brands, a proud legacy, and a renewed, forward-looking and courageous drive. As I look forward to 2025, I see a year brimming with transformation, innovation, and relentless hunger for progress and growth … intensive work - for sure - and certainly barriers we need to jointly remove. But the vision we have build is so contagious, it will carry us as a team! I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone across the STAEDTLER Group for their hard work throughout 2024 and for joining us on this remarkable journey. Together, we’re shaping our future - and I am excited to see where this path leads us next.

What does it mean to be a star? What an incredible honour it was to celebrate our quarterly Discovery Limited Star Awards winners recently! Four times a year, we come together to recognise exceptional employees who embody Discovery’s core purpose and values in everything they do. Our Discovery Star Awards highlight individuals whose outstanding performance consistently shines through. More importantly this award anchors on peer recognition as each winner was nominated by a colleague, which makes this award even more special in my view. I had the privilege of hosting the Q3 Star Awards for Discovery Health. We celebrated 34 remarkable team members from our 5,500-strong workforce, each nominated for their unwavering dedication and passion. At the awards, we asked the winners to reflect on "what makes them a star, and what led them to getting this award?” Listening to their responses made a deep impression on me. At the end of the day I was left thinking about the traits common to all of the award winners. Five powerful traits stand out – traits which I think are reliable predictors of excellence.
