🌍 World Day for the Prevention and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Violence
Today, we stand united to raise awareness and take action against the silent epidemic of child sexual exploitation, abuse, and violence. This day is a reminder of our collective responsibility to protect, support, and empower children everywhere.
Child sexual exploitation and abuse rob children of their innocence, dignity, and future. The trauma often leaves scars that last a lifetime, impacting mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Yet, with timely intervention, education, and a commitment to justice, healing is possible.
What can we do?
• Advocate: Speak up against harmful practices and support policies that protect children.
• Educate: Equip children with knowledge about their rights, body autonomy, and how to seek help.
• Support Survivors: Create safe spaces for survivors to share their stories and access counseling and resources for healing.
• Collaborate: Work with organizations, communities, and policymakers to strengthen child protection systems.
At the Centre for Teens Health and Development, we are committed to empowering teenagers with knowledge, confidence, and tools to protect themselves and others. We work tirelessly to educate young people about body autonomy, consent, and the importance of reporting abuse.
On this day, let’s renew our pledge to create a world where every child feels safe, valued, and protected. Together, we can prevent abuse and ensure survivors receive the care and support they deserve.
Let’s break the silence. Let’s heal together. Let’s create a future free from abuse.
