"Once you start to see reflected light, you can't unsee it." Explore an enlightening conversation between Gaffer Justyn T. Davis, Key Grip Ted Lehane, and Jakob Ballinger as they delve into the intricacies of reflected lighting and its profound implications in the art of cinematography. Their discussion centers on the innovative lighting techniques employed in illuminating the Apple TV + drama "Dear Edward," where the absence of conventional lighting fixtures necessitated a creative utilization of every available surface: From buildings to pianos, floors to walls, each element played a crucial role in shaping the visual narrative, augmented by a diverse array of tools including CRLS, custom-made reflective surfaces, checkerboards, beadboards, and muslins.
