9moGreat tips and ones that work for online networking (what I tend to do more of, thanks to living in the UK wilds!) as well as in-person events. I love the point about asking informed questions. It opens the door to learning something new. Whether or not that learning is used to help the person you're getting to know or somewhere else down the line, it's still valuable. I've used things I've learned in conversations with others in my SEO copywriting and to help other businesses I work with. I think fear can push us into giving a sales pitch too soon - like we're worried we'll miss the opportunity to work with a business we're keen on. I see it a lot in my DMs. Do you have any advice for sidestepping that 'fear-pitch' and letting an opportunity arise naturally, Leanne?
