Are you struggling with high return rates on your online orders? You're not alone. Every 3 out of 5 brands face the challenge of high returns. But this is how we helped a client cut RTO by 25%: 1. We removed blanket Free Shipping Studies show that free shipping can encourage impulsive purchases, especially for high-risk items like shoes. Instead, we offered a coupon code at checkout for the exact amount of shipping. This effectively makes shipping "free" for customers who actively seek it out, indicating a stronger purchase intent. 2. Confirmed all Online Orders We implemented manual and automated order confirmations via phone calls. This personal touch helps verify the order and reduce accidental or fraudulent purchases. 3. Incentivised Prepaid Orders RTO is significantly lower for prepaid orders. We incentivised prepaid options (UPI, credit/debit cards, e-wallets) with a 5-10% discount.
