The new football season is about to kick off. One thing is for sure: the game is faster than ever. Mickey van de Ven had a top speed of almost 38km/h (!!) in 2024. With that, skills such as visual processing, peripheral awareness, reaction time, and decision-making will also be more important than ever. At Senaptec, we have been collecting data on athletes' visual cognitive performance for over a decade. With built-in intelligent analysis, an athlete can know their areas for opportunity in just 25 minutes. In the upcoming weeks, I will be talking more about the visual cognitive abilities we evaluate, analyze, and improve. Stay tuned for more.

🚨 Another record month at JAAQ. We answered over 101,953 questions in April, breaking 100K for the first time 👏 That is a full Wembley Stadium (90K) + a full Vitality Stadium - Bournemouth (11K) Take a second to imagine that many people. Insane. Now I am a bit of a nerd and I had a peak to see how many Qs were answered yesterday . . . . . 👀 7,567 in 1 day. If we replicate number that for all May, we will answer 237,367 questions - nearly a quarter of a million. If May goes as well as it has started we will surpass 1 million questions before the end of the month 💜 1 MILLION people getting the right information in the right format at the click of a button. Some quick maths - if the same rate of growth applies for June (1.3xish from April to May) then we will answer over 500K. We will engage a billion people in the betterment of wellbeing. This advanced course is designed for therapists interested in further developing their assessment and intervention skills to enhance their client/patient’s upper extremity function. Analysis of functional tasks, specifically the movement components that contribute to an individual’s independent performance of reach, grasp, carry, and manipulative tasks, will be addressed. Therapists will have an opportunity to revisit typical upper extremity biomechanical components, discuss and analyze common upper extremity impairments, and learn potential intervention strategies to diminish the impact of atypical compensations on the client/patient’s ability to function and participate in daily life routines. Instructors will cover the content through lectures, labs, group problem-solving, and client/patient demonstrations. Here is another example of a program that I have had the privilege to watch grow from a thought to a vision, and now it is an important part of BGC London. Sometimes you just have to create space, provide support, and then trust in the abilities of others to realize a vision. The DCAC is what it is today because I knew when to just get out of the way and trust in the work and expertise of others.
