➤ If asked to choose between teaching by faculty, through internet-enabled systems, or by peer groups, I would choose peer learning without hesitation. The world is moving toward a future where learning must be continuous, and what previous generations considered an end goal is no longer sufficient. One must always strive for new achievements. The role of teaching today extends far beyond the classroom. I’ve been advocating for institutions to offer students more freedom, with the primary goal being mastery of the subject, not just passing exams or getting good grades. Ultimately, education should empower students to become masters of their own lives, capable of making their own decisions.
➤ Giving freedom to children is another aspect that is the only way to grow. Teachers can, at best, be a guide for students providing that level of freedom. At any higher education institution, the Faculty has to be one level below the admission level. Otherwise, following traditional methods will only help students excel in one skill without focusing on overall development. This is why we are producing a lot of coders and programmers but not enough leaders. Faculty need to recognise that students, due to the evolving ecosystem, are often more advanced. Teachers should take pride in knowing their students will surpass them, and that’s something to celebrate.
