Successful graphic design hinges on several core principles: balance, contrast, alignment, repetition, and hierarchy. These principles help create visually appealing and functional designs. Balance ensures that no single element overwhelms the composition, while contrast draws attention to key elements. Alignment and repetition provide coherence, and hierarchy guides the viewer’s eye through the content. #graphicdesign #logodesign #creative https://lnkd.in/gBYF5ZGx

In product design, hierarchy, readability, and visual balance must all be carefully considered when combining and using different font weights. Here are ways on combining and using font weights effectively: I'm open to design gigs, remote, hybrid in mid-level roles in Product Design. Recommendations will be highly appreciated. 🎯 Create a clear hierarchy of information based on importance as a starting point. Keep larger font sizes for headings, titles, and important details you wish to draw attention to. Supporting or supplementary text can employ lighter weights. 🎯 Selecting Font Pairs: Select typefaces that go well together and provide a variety of weights within the same typeface family. Use a lighter weight sans-serif font for body text and a bolder font for the headline. Maintaining visual coherence across the design is facilitated by consistent font matching. 🎯 Use Bold for Emphasis: Save bold font weights for items (such headlines, call-to-action buttons, or significant content) that need to be emphasized. Bold text is useful for emphasizing important content because it stands out and grabs the user's attention. 🎯 Balance Contrast: To maintain readability and visual hierarchy, strive for a balanced contrast between various font weights. Too similar font weights can confuse consumers and make it harder for them to discern between different information levels, so stay away from utilizing them. 🎯 Consider Accessibility: Keep accessibility in mind when choosing font weights, especially for digital products. Ensure that text remains legible and easy to read across different screen sizes and devices. Avoid using extremely thin or light font weights for body text, as they may be challenging for some users to read. 🎯 Experiment with Styling: Don't be afraid to experiment with different font weights and styles to find the right balance for your design. Test how different weights look in combination with each other and adjust as needed to achieve the desired visual impact. 🎯 Maintain Consistency: Maintain consistency in font usage throughout the design to create a cohesive and unified look. Stick to a limited number of font weights and styles to avoid visual clutter and maintain a clean and organized appearance. Just finishing up my new designer portfolio! Its a task many people dread and don't catch up on. Its time consuming and never-perfect, a typical curse of every designer! Adding to that, NDA's can easily prevent you from being able to use your work as reference. This can be hard, especially for people working in the start-up space. I felt it was time to re-address my portfolio, make it more visually appealing and unique and cross-link the living daylight out of it, to add credibility and value. It just made sense to have it be a website (I included the download for my resume as a pdf in the portfolio) and not a document. Talk about animations and interactive features! I'd appreciate your feedback. If you wanna have a look at it, I'll leave the link below! https://lnkd.in/gKuE6Y7d

They say that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day. 🍀 I’ll try my luck to make it the opposite. 🍀 I am open to work! Whether you need: ✅ brand identity (or a refresh of what you have now), ✅ e-commerce assets for your business, ✅ new website design, ✅ content for your social media, ✅ a whole new set of printed merch, or you are seeking ✅ creative art direction for your next campaign - hit me up, and let’s create something together! Or first, see what I've done so far and then reach out https://lnkd.in/dSsbP4Ue I am eager to work on both short and long-term projects, so please do share a word! My former coworker called me ‘an unstoppable fountain of ideas’ ⛲ - I am seeking opportunities to keep the fountain going! (also, this quote has inspired my new portfolio homepage, thank you Christa Brouma! 💝) #jobseeking #graphicdesigner #artdirection #design #openforwork 🤸♀️ I wouldn't be myself if I did not share a little story, so for those who feel like one, here it comes: I specifically remember Fridays the 13th of 2017 and 2020. The first one was the day when I traveled to Gran Canaria for a workaway experience. This trip opened a lot of doors for me. The second was when I got a huge, red 'canceled' stamp over my visa to Thailand and got stuck in Cambodia. On that day, a lot of doors closed. This year, the unlucky Friday happened on the 30th of last month. I was made redundant. It closed some doors for me, but it has also opened different ones. I started to work when I was 18 years old and even though through this decade I had tons of different roles, I know that I wouldn't be where I am today if I skipped just one of them. And even though I've been frustrated and tired, I know that I had to go through previous chapters to open the new one. And what is the new chapter? I am at the spot where I can feel I am connecting the dots that I've been seeing and collecting during the past 10 years. I know my skills, my values, my drives. I want to continue my career working on projects that inspire me and the people around me, boost creativity, have a bigger purpose, and bring people together. My main focus will be to do so via design and art direction but I am also pursuing other channels (like writing, for example, which I plan to share more of, shortly). The possibilities of working on various projects are endless and I do not want to limit to only one path here. To prove that these are not just words or an unreachable vision - today I've updated my portfolio AND I sent the application to the position of chapter host (aka community leader) at WiFi Tribe. Pursuing different channels. Connecting the dots. And I hope that I will remember this Friday the 13th as the day that started this path for me. Hence here I am, reaching out to all my network, saying loud and clear that I am on a mission to create a work-life now that will align with the skills, experience, and vision I have.

Need a 3D video of your product?
