✨ How can beauty startups champion inclusivity with limited budgets? ✨ At Lebubè, inclusivity is a commitment. But how can startups like ours champion it with limited budgets? Our Lip and Cheek, our iconic 2-in-1 blush and lipstick, is a testament to how beauty startups can navigate this. For startups, limited resources often mean difficult choices. We faced the challenge of being inclusive without the means to offer an extensive range of shades. The solution? Focus and balance. Through rigorous focus groups involving individuals and makeup artists with diverse skin tones, we developed three shades, each meticulously creafted to suit all skin tones: Vintage Rose, Rubia Rose, and Fiery Red. Inclusivity isn't (just) about offering everything; it's about smart, impactful, and balanced choices. And you, what effective strategies have you seen beauty startups use to embrace inclusivity? Share your insights in the comments so we can all learn and grow together. Discover our Lip and Cheek here: https://lnkd.in/dT5JmdKv #Inclusivity #BeautyStartups #InclusiveBeauty

It seems like Gen Z are backed into a corner where they have to TRADE OFF between CARING ABOUT THE PLANET and BEING FASHIONABLE, and that bridge needs to be closed, according to Estella Struck, founder of Viviene New York, a Gen Z-led marketing agency that helps sustainable brands connect with Gen Z audiences through social media. Why do so many Gen Z feel ADDICTED TO FAST FASHION? (ThredUp report https://lnkd.in/gQrjSQP4) Lauren Bravo, author and award-winning journalist, explained to Business Insider (https://lnkd.in/eFDpKwVt) how the BUY-NOW, THINK-LATER approach that fast-fashion companies use is FLATTENING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT WE LIKE, WANT AND NEED. "You can see a dress and think, 'I really like that,' in the same way that you can like a painting or a flower, but it doesn't mean you necessarily want it and it definitely doesn't mean that you need it," she said. "I think what these SOCIAL-MEDIA apps are trying to do is FLATTEN all of those DIFFERENT EMOTIONS so that WE INTERPRET EVERYTHING AS NEED." This problem presents OPPORTUNITIES for #innovators, #entrepreneurs, #startups, and #smallbusiness to develop SUSTAINABLE RETAIL SOLUTIONS that could help Gen Z and every other generation ultimately put their money where their mouths are. WinSolutions | Winning Impact supports and invests in #innovators , #entrepreneurs , #startups , and #smallbusiness with viable disruptive innovations in #biodiversity, #healthyfood, #nutrition, #healthcare and #renewableenergy spaces aimed at SECURING future SUSTAINABLE LIFE on our planet.

Many startup gurus advise founders to start with problems they personally experience and build their companies around them. What I often see is that founders invent problems that don’t actually exist, or they identify issues that people have accepted as "hard facts" - meaning people have lived with these issues for a long time and are not seeking solutions for them (Sequoia has a great PMF framework that explains this—see in comments). A great example is AI fashion styling startups, which have been popping up recently - I reviewed over 10 pitches in the last few months. They all have the same “problem” slide, claiming that hundreds of millions of people struggle when buying new apparel because they don’t know what to choose. In a dream world, yes, many people would love to have an AI styling assistant to tell them what to wear and when. But in reality, people have been solving this problem in various ways for years, and no one is particularly unhappy or in pain when shopping for new clothes… So, when you think of a problem you believe you have and assume others have too, look at the different ways this problem is already being solved. Ask the right questions to determine if it’s really a painkiller or just a vitamin - in fact you’ll see many more vitamins before you come up with a real painkiller idea.
