BUSINESS HACK: Designated Meeting Days Why do we insist on running around like chickens, hopping from meeting to meeting to continuously talk about our work instead of scheduling time to actually DO the work? What would happen if a business decided to coordinate its entire staff around 1 or 2 designated meeting days throughout the week? Think of these as "Meeting Mondays" or "Troubleshooting Tuesdays" where the day is specifically reserved for hosting meetings, collaborating as groups, and reviewing performance. Just imagine how much more efficient and effective would we all be as individuals (heck, as an organization!) if we were to commit to a meeting cadence like this. What do you think? There have been times in my life when I thought I was invincible. Many years ago, as a new meeting planner, I juggled, pivoted, embraced chaos, and worked myself raw to ensure successful, flawless conferences where participants walked away energized and satisfied with the ROI they had just put into attending the event. But there were plenty of moments where I felt defeat, frustration, and overwhelmed by the unseen details. Over the years, I learned the value of asking for help.
