🎒 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗮𝗺 𝗽𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸? We asked this question and decided to find out. The answer? Around 𝟯𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸’𝘀 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗼𝗮𝗺. While this percentage varies depending on the design, foam consistently accounts for a significant portion of most backpacks. When we zoom out and consider the bigger picture, the numbers are staggering: globally, 𝟭.𝟯𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗨 𝗳𝗼𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟲.𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗩𝗔 𝗳𝗼𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. A large chunk of this is used in products like backpacks, shoes, and other everyday items. This raises important questions about material choice and sustainability. If so much of a backpack’s construction relies on foam, what can we do to reduce its environmental impact? How can we rethink materials to design products that are functional, durable, and planet-friendly? BonFom is stepping up to address these challenges by providing an innovative alternative to plastic-based foams. Unfortunately, we couldn’t completely eliminate plastic, but we’ve significantly reduced it. And furthermore, our pumps are more robust than traditional pumps, which means that they last much longer. On Earth Day, I want to share one of my favorite new water bottles that you can have branded with your logo. Not only is this recycled stainless steel bottle stylish, with a spicket top, saving the planet from plastic water bottles, but it comes in second-life packaging!
