Do you agree with Jewish Voice for Peace??? Rabbinic Council: "The state of Israel is currently perpetrating a holocaust, the deliberate mass slaughter of Palestinian people, with weapons provided by the United States." 'As rabbis we have taken on a sacred responsibility to protect our ancient tradition, to support our community, and to offer moral leadership amid crisis. We find ourselves in a horrifying historical moment. Many of us have parents, grandparents and great-grandparents who survived or perished in Nazi death marches and we have all grown up in the shadow of the Nazi holocaust. The state of Israel is currently perpetrating a holocaust, the deliberate mass slaughter of Palestinian people, with weapons provided by the United States. The photos and videos coming out of North Gaza are a terrifying echo of all-too-familiar images of European ghettos and Nazi concentration camps in the 2nd World War. The Nazi camps were hidden from the world, but as Susan Albuhawa writes, “Israel is committing the holocaust of our time, and it is doing it in full view of a seemingly indifferent world.” Today we stand with our ancestors at our backs, in solidarity with our Palestinian siblings, demanding an immediate weapons embargo and an end to genocide.’ #israel #neveragain is NOW. #zionismisnotjudaism #zionismisantisemitism #zionismisterrorism

https://lnkd.in/gQfPb-fu Please read this very insightful article about weponization of the holocaust against Israel & Jews. Recommend that please also read yhe Tehran Times (in particular) as well as Al Jazeera. Any criticism of Israel by any country in the world especially by the U.S. administration, academic leaders on college campuses, mainstream media & the global protests & holding Israel accountable for the Gaza tragedy & not mentioning Hamas’ responsibility is magnified by the Tehran Times in particular. Global leaders of influence & media silence on todays antisemitic activities as done leading up & during the holocaust can only G-d forbid, increase the risk of another holocaust. Let’s remember that mostly conscripts/ draftees in Israel are fighting & dying for Israel’s survival & fighting against terrorism & evil as mostly conscripts/draftees did in the U.S. & our allies during WWII against the Nazis & fascists. We need to put aside our political differences & let Israel do the job.

Questioning the Justification I argue that while the historical suffering of Jews, especially during the Holocaust, creates a moral imperative for a safe haven, it does not justify the displacement and suffering of Palestinians.Atrocities and Compensation: The atrocities committed against Jews during the Holocaust were horrific and demand acknowledgment and remembrance. However, using this historical trauma to justify the displacement of another group raises significant ethical concerns. The argument that the Holocaust justifies the establishment of Israel implies that the suffering of one group can be compensated by inflicting suffering on another, which is morally problematic. Innocence of Palestinians: Palestinians had no part in the crimes committed by the Nazis. Holding them accountable for historical injustices against Jews is unjust and perpetuates further suffering. As you pointed out, if historical grievances are used to justify land acquisition or displacement, it raises the question of who bears the responsibility for historical injustices.

Dear colleagues, As sirens sound across our nation, we pause to remember the Holocaust, a tragedy that occurred 80 years ago, claiming six million lives. Even today, the Jewish population hasn't fully recovered, still struggling to reach pre-Holocaust numbers. The term "genocide" is heavy with sorrow and memory, a reminder of deep human suffering that should never be taken lightly. As we remember the Holocaust, let's also recognize other ongoing genocides worldwide. From the Uyghurs in China to Darfur and the Armenian genocide, the list is tragically long. Consider these numbers: The Yazidis: 5,000 lives lost. Darfur: 500,000 souls perished. Cambodia under Pol Pot: 3,000,000 lives extinguished. The Holodomor under the Soviet regime: 3,000,000 victims. The Armenian genocide: Over 1,000,000 lives brutally taken. East Pakistan (Bangladesh) under Pakistan: At least 300,000 lives lost, with over 300,000 women subjected to systematic rape. In addition, it's imperative to acknowledge that some terrorist groups are actively seeking to eliminate the Jewish state and population, aiming to undermine the values of the free world and suppress cultural diversity. These atrocities call us to action. In a world where "genocide" is sometimes used carelessly, let's remember its true meaning and honor those who have suffered and continue to suffer. Let's stand together for democracy, freedom of speech, cultural diversity, and peace. Never again is Now.

💯 and it better not take too long because we are subjected to existing greenhouse gas levels adding the equivalent heat of 13 exploding Hiroshima bombs every second to the atmosphere, according to climate scientists. The only way to stop that is ending Western colonial capitalism hegemony and beginning to reorganize the economies to work for people and planet, which we could do overnight if we choose to. The ruling class in the West, bought by the Israel lobby or absorbed in their own racism, tell you that the slogan "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" is anti-Semitic. 87-year-old Holocaust survivor, Stephen Capos thinks otherwise. In fact, he says “from the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free, no matter how long it takes". The slogan, he confirms, refers to equal rights for all Palestinians and Israelis - something Israel detests and fears for it would have to give up its Zionist supremacy. Kapos, who attended the march for Gaza in London, was 7-years-old when he and his family survived the Nazi Holocaust on Jews in Hungary in 1944. Join Kapos and say “from the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free - no matter how long it takes!"

As the Israel-Hamas war continues and the death toll of peaceful Palestinians continues to rise, there is an important drive to raise awareness of the history and plight of the Palestinian people. However, for a proper understanding of the conflict, there is also the need to explain the history of persecution of Jews, including the Holocaust, and how this has affected Israel and its allies. Today, as we honor Holocaust Memorial Day, we solemnly remember the millions of lives lost during one of history’s darkest periods. Their memories are etched into our hearts as a reminder of the atrocities that humanity must never repeat. Yet, even as we reflect on the past, we cannot ignore the painful realities of the present. In Gaza, innocent lives are held hostage by the oppressive grip of Hamas, echoing a new-age Holocaust where fear and suffering persist. As we light candles in remembrance, let us also shine a light on the injustices of today. Every life lost or held captive is a testament to our ongoing struggle for peace, justice, and human dignity. We must unite across borders, religions, and ideologies to condemn all forms of hatred, violence, and oppression. Only then can we truly honor the memory of the Holocaust victims and strive for a world where every individual lives free from fear and persecution. #HolocaustMemorialDay #NeverForget #EndViolence #Unity #PeaceForAll #NeverAgain #StandWithUs #BringThemHome

Day 135. You might have heard a lot of people say that Israel is engaging in “ethnic cleaning.” Fighting a defensive war against a terrorist government whose mission is to wipe out Jews from Israel is NOT ethnic cleaning. It’s an inversion of the truth by those who are antisemitic and believe Israel doesn’t have the right to defend itself. What is ethnic cleansing? What’s happened to the Jews from Arab countries since 1948 (and before). #mizrahijews As many of you know, my family fled Iraq in the early 1950s with the majority of the Jewish population. A population that had been discriminated against for centuries and centuries but lived relatively peacefully in Iraq. Until Nazi ideology took hold. That’s the same Nazi ideology we’re seeing all over the world - not just from the far right but from the left (including frighteningly from many in DEI). That’s what leads to ethnic cleansing. My family’s story is not unique. Our culture, our community, our history, our possessions may be gone. But they live on in the memories of those of us who carry on our traditions and keep telling our history. It is up to all of us as Jews to keep telling our stories and shedding light on history. But we can’t do it alone. Right now, the world is on a frightening path towards a second Holocaust - with the abandonment of truth and facts just the first step. We must all stand up to stop this descent into hatred before any more time passes. PS. Demand the release of the hostages. #releasethehostages

Religions are there to unite us and have the target to bring people together in oneness..... It are the human (mis)interpretations making a mess out of this. We need nonviolent interaction as equals. This will lead to mutual understanding and empathy, it will exchange fear and hatred for trust and solidarity, and let humanity grow together in relation to God. www.samadeus.org & www.pax.ngo
